Will it rust my grinder Will it get a good amount of kief? Can I smoke that kief? How o ok ng should it take ?? Is it worth it ?
It won't rust your grinder, I just did it with mine. You could smoke the kief after, although all the thc will have been extracted by the iso, so it will do nothing. Look up QWISO (quick wash iso) if you want to still use the kief all over the grinder. It's extremely easy.
Alcohol I am fairly sure does not cause rust. And for the keef issue i feel like it's possible but I wouldn't suggest trying yourself to extract keef with alcohol (plus the alcohol might destroy the keef).
Alcohol won't but there is still 9% water in it. It shouldn't rust your grinder though if you dry it off after. Also make sure you purge correctly if planning to smoke it. Also 2 hours without heat or anything is not enough. If it's insanely filled with keif, use a coffee filter after and make some decent dabable qwiso.
Iv never made qwiso before so I soak for how long The filter that threw a coffee filter ? Then slowly evaporate what's left or slowly do it over a doubler boiler
throw your grinder in a bowl with the Iso and let it wash it all clean, remove grinder and pour iso solution threw a coffee filter into a Pyrex dish, put on double boiler until evaped. I usually put mine into my oven on a low temp to finish purging it all out too. There's not really any terps in claim to burn off anyways so I don't really worry about temps getting to high
I ISO'd my old sharp stone and got a good amount of smokables after evaporation took place. Got me lifted, and made my grinder look new. Word of warning, if you get ISO on anythig while it has dissolved kief in it, when it evaporates it will get that thing super super sticky/tacky this includes fingers and work surfaces. Wear gloves
