Yeah, I've done a lot of reading on super cropping. I am pretty positive she will recover, it's not "that" bad so all should be fine. I had her taped back up in less than 3 mins as well. I picked up some super thrive today, I was thinking to add some to my nutes tonight when I check on everything. It's supposed to help with shock and other stresses caused by transplanting etc.

Pics I took last night midnight.

Basically I wish boned her. That's what I'm going to call it for now, not sure if there is an actual term for splitting the stock at a Y node. But Wish Boned sounds accurate enough haha.

edit: Side note, I don't think my Girl Scout Cookies is actually Girl Scout Cookies, everything I've looked at says this plant grows pretty lanky, obviously mine is short and squat more indica like. Got the Clone from HarborSide in Oakland. I don't remember who the provider was though. I honestly don't really care. Just figured I'd throw that out there before someone else did.

I am growing Girl Scout cookies that are now almost two weeks into bud cycle. They are a short bushy plant that are very similar in size and looks to the white widow Im growing alongside it. I'll post pics for you when the lights come on
The purple Kush I'm growing in my second room is tall and thin in comparison with sparse leaves

I am looking forward to sampling the GSC when finished!

I also just received a Violator Kush clone from a buddy to enhance my genetic stockpile. He says it's the strongest bud he's ever smoked and he's been growing for 20 yrs! Looking forward to that!

Thanks deman, I'd love to see your plant. I've read so many threads about gsc platinum cookies, fortune cookies, flo rida kush, this and that, to the point where there was no straight direction about this strain. Do you happen to have a journal on your current grow? If you're 2 weeks in flower, I'm just under 2 weeks since flipping 12/12.

  4. Here we are, exactly 11 days since flipping 12/12. Did all the usual checking PPM/PH/Temps etc. and checking on the health of Ms. Broken Branch, she looks great and even continued growing from the branch that was broken. Between the two plants they drank about 1/4 gallon of water in the past 24 hours.

    Current readings:
    Blue Dream -
    PPM: 780
    PH: 5.8
\nI went ahead and added 2ml of Super Thrive, 1ml less than the suggested dose. I have read not to add ST in flowering as it can slow down flowering process. I made the decision to add it anyway based on if the break stunted it, then perhaps the ST will help it recover faster than without it? Hopefully this was a good thing to do, at any rate I am not going to worry if this was good or not I will just wait, watch, and see what happens.
    \nGirl Scout Cookies -
    PPM: 760
    PH: 5.6
\nPlant was showing signs of Calcium and Magnesium deficiency so I added some GH CaliMagic, this is the first time I have added any Cal and Mag the entire grow.
    \nTemperature:
    Room: 75º
    Water: 72.4º
\nAlso, I think I'm at a point where I am going to stop tucking these plants under the screen. I am getting resistance from the branches which I think is their way of telling me to F!@# off. I will heed these hints and just let them do their thing from here on out.
\n\nClones - Blue dream is looking good, I took the cup off of it a few days ago and it looks fine. the UV Auto seedling is growing it's first sets of leaves. The GSC clone is looking like hell, but I think I will be seeing roots some time soon, I hope so it's been damn 17 days. Seems like a crazy long time.

Here's how they're looking. Used a pair of sun glasses and adjusted the red values on the picture.

Blue Dream has plateaued at 780ppm today.

She also hasn't skipped a beat since I wish boned her, she continued to grow and the tape didn't make much of a difference. The branch grew apart from where I taped it anyway.

And the GSC is increasing by 10s

Moved the UV to a 3 gallon pot and into the tent. A little early but, another clone was showing roots and I needed the room under the T5. So far I have 2 BD clones with roots. Waiting for that GSC to show.

Not a whole lot to add for an update. I'm at a point where I have been just checking water, nutes, and health daily. Topping off and that's it really. Smooth sailing from here on out hopefully.

Here is how they are looking.

Greetings! This is going to be a fairly in depth update, so let's get into it shall we?

I'm going to cover the flowering plants, Blue Dream, Girl Scout cookies, the Ultra Violet Fem Auto, Followed up by some gear, and then finally last but not least my Clones I've taken.

The girls are two days into Week 3 of their 12/12 light cycle.
So I decided to do a complete res change today for both flowering plants, fresh water, fresh nutes, reset PH to 5.8. Yesterday I had the Blue dream at 980 PPM and I had the Girl Scout Cookies at 960 PPM (adjustments need to be made for both plants ↑/↓ to meet feeding requirements). The current readings are now:

    Blue Dream -
    PPM: 1,030
    PH: 5.8
    \nGirl Scout Cookies -
    PPM: 950
    PH: 5.8
    \nTemperature:
    Room: 75º
Water: 63º (I estimate will rise to 72/73 as it has been there the majority of this grow.)
\nThe tops for both of these plants range from 4" to 8" above the screen, the canopy is fairly even. I am happy with the canopy and will look to improve it on my second grow but for now I'm still learning and to me it looks great.
\nThe Ultra Violet Auto is working on her 3rd set of leaves and is looking healthy. I know 12/12 isn't the best for autos. But we'll see what happens with her, I don't plan on ever growing any autos, I want to be in control of the grow 100%. I have not fed her anything, she is living in a 3 Gal pot, Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and I have pictures below of the PH/Moisture content of the soil.
\nOk, a piece of gear I would like to mention first and foremost if you are growing SCROG I highly recommend getting a water transfer pump, you could get drill powered ones what ever doesn't really matter. I have been using a aquarium siphon this whole time, and let me tell you. I'm completely over it, I have shit to do.  I am using a Wayne Utility Pump, you can find cheaper ones than this. I can mix up my nutrients in 3.5 gallons of water in a bucket. Drain my grow bucket in literally 2 minutes or less (I didn't time it) then have it filled back up in 2 minutes or less. The whole process took me maybe 15 minutes at best, and that's being modest, for one grow bucket change. But it's loud, real loud. So be aware of that.
\nAs for my Clones They are color coded by the pots they are sitting in. Tan = Bue Dream, Red = Girl Scout Cookies. You can visually identify which strain is which without labeling but figured it would be just an extra touch. The Blue Dream clones look outstanding with healthy new growth, the Girl Scout Cookies surely have seen their better days and I hope they pull through. The BD in the back left I topped the rest I haven't touched. Same soil as the UV Auto.
\nI will be feeding all my soil plants General Hydroponics General Organics nutrient line except for the Bio Marine or what ever it's called (The optional squid additive) These plants are in my closet I don't really care for the smell of squid but I sure as hell will destroy some Calamari.

\nI'm going to be searching this question, but just in case I don't find anything and someone has some experience with them. Has anyone used these meters? How accurate are they? They are cheap like $10 at my local hardware store.

\n\n\nEdit: I almost forgot about Ms. Broken Branch, It almost seems as if the break didn't slow her down one bit (Perhaps that might be why the PPM hovered right at 780 for a couple days?) I'm not sure if that is any attribution to the Super Thrive or not as I have nothing to base it off of. At any rate here is the damage I took a picture with my better camera.

Man it's so rewarding to open the tent every night and see their progression.

  9. Pics of room with white widow and GSC. Today is three weeks into bud cycle. These plants are roughly three to four feet tall measured from the top of pot to top of plant
The first pic shows a white widow in the foreground (center of pic) and two GSCs behind it. GSC to the right side of pic as well The next two are closeups of two of the GSCs. Colours are off due to the HPS lights of course.
(Dunno why closeups got rotated during upload)

Those plants are looking great man, and you were right our GSC look very similar, node spacing, looks like some purple stems on the fan leaves. Looks really nice.

Quick picture update. Today is the end of week 3. I have kept both plants in the 1,000 +/- ppm over the past couple of days.

I think I could have kept tucking them under the screen for a couple more days the canopy is a little tall about 8.5" what do you guys think?

Thanks here are how the clones are looking. The GSC are finally starting to come out of the funk they were in. I was worried I was going to lose them. The BD has cloned really nicelym especially the one that I topped.

I did water all 4 plants with super thrive and a very light 50ppm feeding with GO Grow,Bio Root, and Bio Weed in Tuesday. A couple days after the ST the GSC started showing the new growth.

Also I am going to have to figure out something different for my UV Auto, she is getting really stretchy and I don't like it. I may just take her out of the tent and grow her in my Room on my Computer Desk.. lol f-ck it why not?

Going to be a short post. Updates will come soon.

Does anyone have any idea why this plant looks so shriveled?
I haven't been able to find anything from the google gods.
I suspect MG deficiency but not sure?

  15. Progress photos aswell. Will have a decent update when I have some time. Had to move the tent, which is why the screen is gone. Long story don't ask.

  16. Looking great Code. I also had one that grew weird at first. Looked just like yours. I just left alone. Made sure stats were good on it. Treated it like the others, even though she had missing blades on sets, sets that were deformed, etc. It grew out and flowered nicely. Perhaps genetics?

  17. Could be, the 2nd cutting from the same plant doesn't have the same problem though. Although I did see similar qualities from the mother just not as pronounced. I'll leave her to do plant things and see what happens. Thanks

    This might be silly but........
Part of me thinks if this were true it would be more widely talked about.
At any rate I decided to do my own experiment.
I have a lot of seeds I ordered a while back when I got the rest of my grow supplies then opted to start with clones.

    Jamaican Pearl x10
    Bubblelicious x10
    Durban Poison x10
    Berry Bomb x10

I germinated 5 Jamaican Pearl and 5 Bubblelicious I examined the seeds per the chart below and labeled each seed according to the description and pictures.
all seeds were showing taps within 48 hrs and now all JPs are in pots, I suspect the Bubs will be ready tomorrow or the next day.  I think I may start a separate journal for this experiment but I am not sure. I still have roughly 5 weeks on my flowering ladies. Which should give me time get these babies to grow up a bit and give me some clones.

    I feel optimistic. [IMG]

4th Week of Flowering updates Yay! Almost there [IMG]

Both plants look wonderful and smell delicious. I have been feeding them both at approximately 1500-1650 ppm nutrients. I'm happy there's not much to write about. There have been no problems or issues to report just normal growth. I top up the water and nutes every night and that's the first and last time I see them each day at 11pm.

Here are some pictures of what's going on in the garden.

Auto Flower is showing pistils now she is pretty tiny, guess the dwarf genetics are showing there.
