New grow starting soon.

  1. Got my new 5 gallon Smart Pots filled with good organic soil that I've had cooking for awhile today. Got 3 seeds germinating. 2 Dinafem White Widow autos and 1 Moby Dick auto. I'm really a big fan of WW and want to see what the auto variety is like.
Just started this project about an hour ago, so it'll be awhile before any pics of the products are available.

The Moby was a freebie in the order.

Since I just started the 3 beans germinating tonight, I went ahead and watered the soil to make it inviting. Added unsulphured blackstrap molasses to 2 gallons of water along with a cup of worm castings to each Smart Pot. I'll add more water tomorrow to get the moisture down at the bottom good.
I had been unmotivated to start another grow, but reading some grow journals on here, realizing I only have 34g left from my last harvest and watching all 10 episodes of American Weed on Netflix got me in the mood again. Looking forward to seeing where I go with this grow.

The seeds grew their tap roots and are now in soil under the 600w HPS bulb. Looking forward to seeing how they do.

  5. Sounds like you got a pretty good set up and know what your doing mostly. Couple things I want to comment on though.

    1. I wouldnt put anthing but soil and water for seeds and seedlings. They dont need anything but warmth and a bit of dampness.
    2. I wouldnt put seedlings under a HPS you might end up cooking them at this stage. Do you have a MH, a CFL or T5 you can start them with?
    3. PICTURES!

Im also a huge fan of WW but have never grown an Auto. Defiantly interested so im subbed up! Also heard good things of the Moby Dick strain.

  6. I'll post some pics later. All 3 have come thru the dirt now. They won't be receiving any nutes or vitamins anytime soon. I do have an MH, but since their autos I'm just going to run the HPS. Save some time on the MH.

  7. "won't be receiving any nutes or vitamins anytime soon"

What kind of vitamins do u give your plants?

    J

  8. I was using vitamins sorta of as humor even though at a later stage of growth I will add blackstrap unsulphured molasses for the calcium and magnesium content and for the carbs for the soil microbes.

Thats a pretty nice harvest from those little plants... ;)

  11. I actually pulled 110g's of dry herb off of two auto Dinafem Fruit plants I grew in 3 gallon smart pots. That plate full is what I have left after donating some to needy friends.

Hoping I can get 200g from two auto White Widow and 1 auto Moby Dick.

  12. So the babies are looking good. They're standing straight up mostly and look like their enjoying life. Got them planted in 5 gallon khaki tan colored smart pots. Went with the tan this time in an effort to reflect more light off the inside walls of the pot. I notice it's working well since the plants are so small and I can see how the light is distributed. Have added just very small units of water to the seedlings so far. Got the 600w hps burning strong. Some would say that's light overkill, but the bill is in my name so it is what it is.

  13. 9 days since beginning and the ladies are 2-2.5 inches tall. Seem to be thriving on just small shots of water. The light doesn't seem to be burning them so will keep it on as is. Running an 18/6 schedule. Hope this turns out good.

15 days in and this is where we're at.
White tape on handles are WW autos and the blue tape is auto Moby Dick. All from Dinafem.
I was playing them classical music on the CD player (pic 6) but may change it to motivational talks soon.

...and that's not yellowing on the leaves, it's the reflection from the grow light.

The girls have busted out big in the last 2 days. I added a small amount of FF Grow-Big to their diet. They liked it. Pics soon.
Decided the 3-5 gallon pots are going to need more room to really explode. Ordered a garment hanging rack, a reflective wing for another 600w grow light to hang and some Age Old organic nutes. The rack will spread out 56" and 66" high. I can hang my 2 lights up above and see if I can grow big. Good vibes needed.
Growing cannabis is an addictive hobby.

This pic is 48 hours after the one above.
I am totally digging the reflective characteristic of the khaki smart pots. You can see it in the pic.
