I've had a few grinders in the past of various different brands, the one I received today felt very sturdy and durable.

The problem is I ordered the large thinking it would be similar to my current which is a bit smaller. If I step down to the medium it becomes even smaller than my current one. I don't grind that much, the occasional half a gram or gram depending on how many people are present.

Should I take the loss and get the medium version or will it not even matter? The holes are pretty spaced out and I am worried the consistency of the grind will be different seeing as I'm using a larger grinder for smaller amounts of bud.

For a grinder like this I understand the grind will be exactly the same as everything is proportional in the scaling of sizes. The santa cruz shredder has extra holes in the large version which the medium and mini do not

  2. I have the medium SCS and it grinds just fine, even if you pack it. My complaint is the lack of kief collected with this particular grinder. As far as grinding it's great, gets a bit more fine consistency than what you have pictured (good to keep in mind, some like it and some don't). It is also really easy to screw together which was honestly a huge reason for me buying the grinder lol.
