So rank these from most likely to smoke weed to the least: Cowboys, ninjas, pirates, vikings and samurai.
Here's mine: 1) Pirates 2) Vikings 3) Ninjas 4) Cowboys 5) Samurai But I'm pretty sure the all would burn tho.
I'd go with pirates as number 1 only on land. Doubt they'd have smoked much of anything out at sea. Then cowboys, vikings, ninjas, and samurai.. but I think ninjas and samurai would be a rare occasion if they smoked. Think they'd be more of a 'body is a temple' Zen versus 'getting high' Zen.
#1-Cowboys- Whats better than a doob after a hard day on the ranch?? #2-Pirates- If u raid a ship full of ganj you smoke a ship full of ganj #3- Ninjas- All you will smell is dankness before your suddenly hit with a ninja star in the neck Vikings or more lets get drunk and burn down a village!!! type folk dont see them smoking Samurais would be much to Zen to poison there body
cowboy- wtf else would you do on a horse all day pirate- i don't know they seem like theyd smoke samurai- meh maybe for meditation or something viking- idk ninja- dank smells way to much, can't be stealthy
Vikings. You can't tell me the berserkers were'nt high, man. Cowboys. They did'nt just roll tobaccy in them cigarettes. Pirates. Yo ho yo ho, the highrates life for me. Ninjas & Samurais. They need disciprine if they wish to partake and not bring shame to famiry.
Ninjas- Most likely to smoke weed because they are from East Asia. Lots of natural cannabis grows in Western Asia but Ninjas were known to travel great distances. In fact, the term "assassin" comes from the hashashin, the fable of the hash-intoxicated assassin. Samuari- Similar reasons as ninjas. Cowboys- Some may have traveled to Central and South America and found some weeds to roll in their cigarettes. Pirates- Perhaps they could have stolen some from a ship, depending on where they sail. Vikings- Most likely had no access to weed due to the harsh cold of the Scandinavian landscape.
While it sounds cool.. more than likely not accurate. The only accounts we have of them with hash is from their enemies, mostly Crusaders.. and we all know how Christians like to speak the truth of their enemies.. They were old school Muslims, they adhered to Sharia law.. and is even rumored that their founder Hassan-i Sabbah executed his own son for getting drunk. Highly doubt they smoked hash..
Not sure what you're trying to get at other than reaffirming what I said.. cause as the quote says, it is a misnomer that 'assassin' comes from meaning hash user. A misnomer is a word meaning that is wrong, meaning it is wrong that assassin comes from using hash.
I gotcha.. lol, it's unusual when someone pulls a quote and doesn't say anything and is in agreement. Usually when that happens, it's because they disagree. There is another quote on the wiki: ..which sounds more logical to me. Dudes were hardcore to their faith.. wouldn't even commit suicide when captured. To them, guess there was more honor in being tortured and killed by someone else's hand then to take their own life. Maybe that is something that added to the myth.. cause you'd have to be stoned off your ass to prefer being tortured and killed versus taking your own life in your own way.
I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if there were some assassins who occasionally smoked hash when they got the chance too, though. I mean, murdering people takes it's toll on your mind and hash would be a way to escape or cope with your own demons. Plus I think it's a cool thought that someone like Ezio from Assassin's Creed would smoke hash.
He definitely has the look of a stoner with the hoodie and the hidden compartments for weapns/lighters/baggies.
