New diet Im doing

  1. I currently weigh 135 lbs . 61kilos and I'm not sure how many stones that is lol. I am doing a diet called 5:2 . For five days you eat smart healthy choice foods not like just veggies or just fruit, just not a whole pizza. And the two days you pick you eat about 500 calories . You don't have to do the days in order just remember when doing this I must not work out on the 2 days of 500 calories. You have to drink plenty of water . But anyway my goal weight is 115-120 pound range . I am 5'1. ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1424137539.721339.jpg

  2. why not just try and eat raw, natural (and/or whole) foods?
avoid anything with a label of ingredients. a tomato is a tomato, it doesn't need a list of ingredients. (this is what i mean by whole foods).
    lean grass-fed chicken, etc.

avoid anything processed, anything with additive/fake sugar in it (unlike apples).

avoid "foods" that are inside the supermarket isles. most of it is processed/canned/food-like stuff.

if you want to take it to the next level start adding green shakes (google lots of recipes) as snacks, and eventually as meal replacements.

forcing yourself to eat 1K calories over 2 days makes no sense to me.
your body will slow down its metabolism about half way through day 1... and you'll be just fine eating lower calories considering you are going to bring them back up.

so what is the reasoning behind this "diet"?

  3. We'll the 2 days of 500 calories is supposed to shrink your stomach then for the 5 days you eat healthy food in moderation I don't have the Luxary of eating raw where I'm at I live in a small village with one store . Anything special you have to order online and they charge crazy prices for shipping alone . :( good idea tho

  4. 2 days of 500 cals is not going to shrink your stomach. doesn't work like that.

also what do you meant "healthy food in moderation"? if the food is actually healthy, you should eat as much as you need.
(what do you call healthy food?)

they don't sell apples or spinach, fruits, veggies, nuts...where you live? that would be just strange. can you buy basic meats, like grass fed chicken? (i'd think in a village you have better access to farms, etc.)

  5. Btw I think your beautiful the way you are but if your looking to lose weight its really simple burn off more calories than you consume. Up your protein with lean meats (chicken/turkey) also healthy fats like coconut oil/avocados/hemp seeds flax seeds, and decrease the bad carbs and bad fats. Follow this and you should be losing weight in no time.

Diets will fail because they are so extreme that you will eventually say fuk this and go back to bad habits. But I cant see anything wrong with what you want to do im sure if you stick to it youll hit your target weight for sure but like I said before dont fall back into bad habits change your lifestyle as a whole instead of just your diet.

  6. Awww thank you so much your so so sweet ❤️ so far I've lost 2 pounds . And I noticed today on my normal eating day I got full much faster than usual . I also did a kick ass workout and burned about 500 calories . I am going to try to keep myself on track it just gets hard everytime I smoke ( that's what he said) hahahaha ^_^

  7. Two days of super low calories is counterproductive for weight loss. You'll cause your stomach to shrink slightly, (not the fat, the stomach itself, it wouldn't have an outward appearance it'll just hold less) but going back to normal calories after 2 days would just immediately stretch it again, which could easily lead to overeating due to survival instincts and mindsets.

Just stick with lower calories and clean foods. Nothing complicated. Just eat less calories than you burn in a day and keep at it for 5 months and you should be a good way into your goals.

Small, constant changes. Not quick sudden. Quick sudden doesn't ever stick, you quickly go back to old habits and lose it. Trust me, I've lost and gained over 50 lbs, multiple times. Slow changes, and stick to the lifestyle even after reaching your goals.

  8.
This. The reason diets fail is because people do these really unnatural, unsustainable plans. You can't just live differently for 2 months and expect lasting change.

  9. 4 shure ;). Munchies are the worst though, I find that the best way to not munch out is to not eat that first bite of munchies even if its healthy. Its not always easy and sometimes I do end up munchin out but I find most times my high will come down in about an hr and I wont be so hungry anymore.

  10. The biggest made mistake is that fat is what makes you fat. It's refined sugars that make you put weight on, obviously copious amounts of fat will have negative effects also, but be sure to skip out refines sugar as much as possible :) - Good luck

  11. Your avg chicken breast is 140 calories so 2 of them is 280. 630 grams of broccoli is 220 calories, 630 grams is 1.3 pounds. I dont see why 2 chicken breasts and 1.3 pounds of broccoli split between 3 meals twice a week for a 5'1 lady is bad.

  12. Lack of adequate vitamins and minerals, and no fats either. Very unbalanced and lacking in calories.

2 times out of 7 days.

Broccoli is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin C, chromium, and folate. It is a very good source of dietary fiber, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, vitamin E, manganese, phosphorus, choline, vitamin B1, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), potassium, and copper.

Chicken is an excellent source of niacin and very good source of selenium. It is also a good source of vitamin B6, and phosphorus. It is also a good source of choline, pantothenic acid, and vitamin B12.

Fat-soluble vitamins are found mainly in fatty foods such as animal fats, including butter and lard, vegetable oils, dairy foods, liver and oily fish.
While your body needs these vitamins every day to work properly, you do not need to eat foods containing them every day.
This is because your body stores these vitamins in your liver and fatty tissues for future use. These stores can build up so they are there when you need them. However, if you have much more than you need, fat-soluble vitamins can be harmful.

    Fat-soluble vitamins are:
    vitamin A
    vitamin D
    vitamin E
    vitamin K

Water-soluble vitamins are not stored in the body, so you need to have them more frequently.
If you have more than you need, your body gets rid of the extra vitamins when you urinate. As the body does not store water-soluble vitamins, these vitamins are generally not harmful. However, this does not mean that all large amounts are necessarily harmless.

Water-soluble vitamins are vitamin C, the B vitamins and folic acid.

Edit: Plus she can get wild and leave the skin on the chicken breast for fats or fry it up in coconut oil.

  14. Eating significantly under maintenance is bad for metabolism/thyroid, especially for females.  I do not advise it.

  15. So far I have had positive results . I've lost a few pounds just after day one. Then on day two of normal Heath conscious eating I did a awesome workout until my legs , arms and stomach burned . Friday I plan on doing my second ( fasting ) day. This has worked for me in the past I just showed to much munchie weakness when I smoked lol now I'm planning on buying fruit and veggies for the next time I plan to smoke . Thank you everyone for the advise though I plan to try many of these foods you have mentioned there was a lot I didn't know .

  16. I'm aware of what's in chicken and broccoli. It's still not balanced, adequate, or enough calories. There's no advantage in dropping down to five hundred calories twice a week.

  17. Good then next time dont say chicken n brocolli lack vitamins and minerals, glad I could educate you..... a doctor.

  18. It's a TV character.

And I didn't say lack. I said adequate. You can't convince me 500 calories contain an adequate amount of vitamins, minerals, and micronutrients. Even from excellent sources of vitamins.

No reason to get fierce. Jesus Christ.
