  1. Hey, idk if this is the right place to post this but yeah. So im a skinny dude, always have been but lately ive noticed i put on a few pounds. I know i should be happy because im skinny lol but i used to work out and be in shape so i know what its like; also ive been smoking a whole lot more lately too so i know thats adding to it.

Anyway, just wondering if any of you guys know any healthy things i could munch on? cause i really dont think late night runs to bk are helping lol

  3. turkey and egg sandwhich. like damn that shit delicious

  4. There's no evidence to back up organics being healthy than conventional growing.

Just eat healthier food options, lots of greens and veggies for fiber to feel full. Don't spend more money for organic, it's unproven and a scam to charge more.

  5. Well, not true.
Just because an organic item is more expensive in your country doesn't make it a marketing scam.

In Australia, organic food is the same price as sugary food, and although it does substitute what it takes out, with nasties, it is overall better for you.

The evidence is you're not eating sugars nor are you eating the shit chemicals they put in the plants to keep bugs & chemicals, fungicides or chemicals that help them grow and down to how they're processed. Organic animals are treated better.. Not in a power plant type of environment where it's toxic for them and where they're given growth hormones, antibiotics and fed animal byproducts and its GMO free... It's just like everything about organics are amazing it even helps locals like food markets and its 10000% better for the environment.

  7. I'm not talking cheap sugar products compared to organic fruits and veggies, I'm discussing the price difference in standard crops and organic crops, and how the claims that are made by organic food are not substantiated by scientific literature. sorry to confuse you.
    .

Some of those "shit chemicals" are fertilizers and pesticides that are safer than organic fertilizer (animal dung, full of ecoli, parasites, and other dangerous microbes you don't want to consume in your food) and organic pesticides (yes organic growers use pesticides, they just reject synthetic pesticides, and although we did have the ddt scare synthetic pesticides have come a long way, many safer and more effective than their "natural"counterparta)

Not to mention the label organic can be very loose in its definition, much akin to free range chicken and the bullshit behind that fda regulation.

And gmo's are widely proven to be safe. Check out the study with one hundred billion animals fed gmo stock, that's a very decent sample size to consider for a study.

  8. You'd also be surprised by the environmental impact of organic growing (keeping in mind it's inefficiencies), but that's a much longer topic. But one shouldn't believe it's so much better for mother earth just because of "natural". Natural doesn't mean good

    Hemlock is natural.

The organic rant is fine and all, but all that really needs to be said is that organic food doesn't mean healthy food. You can't just pick up items labeled 'organic' and consider that eating healthy. Lots of 'organic' food is still bad for you.

I buy a lot of 'organic food,' but that's mostly because much of it is from my area, or in other cases I just honestly think the 'organic' counterpart is better. But that's really no different than preferring one brand to another.

    As for OP:
Nuts. Recently I discovered dry roasted almonds and have been snacking on them just plain, but you can make a mix and add some dried fruit or sesame sticks.

I also like granola or cereal as a snack food, but whether or not it's 'healthy' depends on what you get.

Peanut butter w/ celery or a banana

I don't really eat 'snacks' very much, so I think that's about all I got. Maybe smoothies? I never make them, but depending what you put in them, they can be healthy.

  10. i dont do organic...  i figure IF theres actually anything to it, it equates to unfair advantage since 90pct of ppl in the world dont have access to organic anyway.  I dont need that shit.

after i came back from vegainsm, i was gonna try to stick with organic meat /milk..   but it didnt last.   And it wasnt just a money issue, though what was part of it;  I wont get the cheapest milk available, but i also dont want to pay twice as much than i would for the 'middle of the road' brand just to have it 'organic'.   I pretty much just decided that its all prolly the same shit anyway so why bother.

  11. Haha maybe I should try that man. My sister is actually doing the same thing. I might drop meat completely lol

  12. Yo dudes, what about something called pescetarianism? I heard that's a pretty healthy alternative. Any insight?

  13. Eat an orange or something

  14. lol thanks man

  15. HUMMUS man!

Laugh all you want about it being some hippie food or hipster even but I'm all about Mediterranean/Indian food while high. Fresh and good for you.

As simple as chickpeas, tahini, a little olive oil, garlic, and maybe some cilantro. Shit is delicious.

I usually roast a red pepper in the oven, cut it up, and add it to the mix too. And then dip pita or veggies in it.

  16. Seafood is one of my favorite foods but you seriously have to watch it these days. Most are farm raised and unhealthy or if they're caught in the Pacific you have a nice Fukushima effect. Not to be a Danny Downer but yeah just be wary of it.

  17. Hmm, interesting. I'll definitely look into that. I work for a restaurant and they make hummus and healthy shit like that. I'm also gonna start working out again

  18.
