Country-wide marijuana legalization in the USA?

  1. This post isn't really news, so it might be a spam thread. But what do you think of country-wide legalization in the USA for marijuana? Since so many states are en-route to legalization, but it seems mostly the political agenda either has room to prioritize marijuana legalization, or else the government has bigger issues to deal with besides legalizing marijuana. There's no concerted effort to make marijuana illegal.

Even in the state of Connecticut where I am now, the government is working to legalize recreational marijuana. But from briefly talking to stores where they might be interested in selling marijuana, there's a variety of interest regarding whether or not they could or would sell it. The business model in Colorado is apparently just opening stores that sell exclusively marijuana products. But it's likely that other stores would want to participate in the marijuana industry, both for medical and recreational.

    For example:

    - One local cigar/tobacco store suggested they would need a special permit to sell marijuana
    - One local convenience store claimed they would sell legal marijuana if the state allows it
    - Pharmacies in general should look to distribute prescription or over-the-counter medical marijuana
    - Grocery stores typically sell hemp food products as opposed to marijuana regarding cannabis

These are just personal anecdotes, not an official report. But do you have any thoughts regarding how would the distribution and supply chain of legal marijuana work?

people in control do not want "the people" to know of and benefit from personally and individually the medicinal properties in plants- especially cannabis. ask anyone in America about natural plant/earth health remedies and look at their response. it would be bewilderment and confusion. now go to the doctors office and ask the same thing and you will get the same response from everyone there. until the controllers get their money in line to benefit we will not see any large scale cannabis available and maybe not ever as it goes against the entire notion of you have to go to the doctor to get bleached and dead medicine only - it does not grow up from the soil....  so they say, but words are just that, words.

a good way to test for livingness in medicine is how long it can survive the elements. take a bud and watch it decompose naturally and then take a lab made pill and watch you decompose while waiting for it to decompose which it most likely never will. how much livingness is going on there when livingness means susceptible to the elements of creating or destroying, the two fundamental forces in the universe.
