Seedlings In Small Pot Growing Slow?

  1. About a month and a half ago, I planted a seed into a 6 inch pot and let it develop into a seedling. It grew pretty slow but after about 3 weeks, it had a few sets of leaves and I was able to transfer it to a 3 gallon pot. Now, the plant is about 12 inches tall, 8 wide, and pretty healthy.

About a week and a half ago, I purchased 4 auto flower seeds, germinated them, and planted them. This time, I planted them directly into the 3 gallon pots. It took them about 4 days to sprout, and ever since, they have been struggling to get ANY vertical growth. They are just hovering above the soil and it has me worried. They are in a grow tent about three feet under a 400watt MH. with good ventilation.

Could it have been a mistake to plant in the big pots? Will they ever be normal?

    Thank You!

  2. That is they way autos work, they are going to be very very short and flower immediately... that is why if you want to get good yield do not use autos...  You did not make any mistakes....

  3. So it is ok that the seedlings are just centimeters from the surface of the soil?

  4. I recently did a pair of autos that did just that. Real short til flower, then took on height
check them out in my current grow. At the beginning.

  5. They'll setup a root system first then really start to take off man. Don't go by what the package says for harvest days either. I run all my autos about 90+ days
