Kind K3 300w LED vs DS XML 150w LED

  1. Sup, GC? Had another account but I had to close it recently. Anyways, I need help deciding what'd be best for my 2 x 2 x 4 (4' tall, 2' wide, 2' deep) tent. It's between the KIND K3 300 LED and the new Diamond Series XML 10w CREE LED. Read some awesome things about both and the 150w would be fine for the size of the tent. They're about the same price.

    Here's the two LEDs

Let me know what you guys think! Plan on growing photos, vegging in one tent and flowering in another. I understand they have a full light spectrum and can support the full growth from seedling to harvest. Auto flowers every once in a while. Thanks!

  2. Honestly, I would look into the SolarSPEC-150 by Amare Technologies. The Kind L300 (220w actual pull) is on sale for $595.00 & the DS-XML-150 (130w average pull) is on sale for $549.00. In my opinion that is extremely overpriced for the coverage area. The SolarSPEC-150 (150w actual pull) is $395.00 and is designed to cover a 2' x 2.3' space. A buddy of mine that follows along with my thread recently switched from using a P300 from Advanced LED to a SolarSPEC-150. In less than 24hrs the plants went from looking like this:

Switch from P900 from Advanced LED to SS-150, Before #1.jpg

Switch from P900 from Advanced LED to SS-150, Before #2.jpg

    To this:

Switch from P900 from Advanced LED to SS-150, After #2.jpg

Switch from P900 from Advanced LED to SS-150, After #3.jpg

No foliar sprays, he didn't even water. The only thing that changed was the light and the growth change is remarkable!

In my journal recently (that you can find here: http://forum.grasscity.com/organic-grow-journals/1348187-pharmers-sustained-organic-living-adventure-w-hileds.html/page-4 )

    a member made this statement:

In a reply the member who switched from the P300 to the SS-150 had this to say:

They are also stand alone units so you can use them for both Veg & Flower.

Here are some Veg pics utilizing the SolarSpec-150

    HTH!

  3. What's a P300?

Between the OPs two given choices I would get the AdvancedLED XML 150. The series seems to have good results.

  4. Thank you! Actually immediately found out Kind was overpriced after posting this. Checked out the solar specs. They seem very nice! Also was digging the Progrow 260x or 260 mod. 3 switch select between veg, flower, and full spectrum. Followed many grow journals and it's very impressive.

    Throwing this into a 2.6 x 2.6 x 5.3 ft tent. Perfect coverage.

  5. hey pharmer  is it possible to get a full data sheet from amare? I can not seem to find one with more than a few data points. would be good to know umole foot print , spectrum, par per watt etc... and is there anyone who can explain why all the green and yellow in the white spectrum what it does for the plant? how much of the light is dedicated to the green and yellow spectrum? Thanks. Brada your plants look great. gonna be a great smoke review :)

  6. sometimes, you can compare the lights by power, coverage, and result, maybe you will find someone whom using the 2 lights in the same time, lol, and also when you choosing a lights, you also need think about the grow in future, you need consider if you also need it after expanding your grow area.[IMG]
