How do you feel about sweatshops/disposable fashion?

  1. As the title goes I guess..

I personally do everything I can to avoid sweatshop clothing or any fashion item that will not last long.

I personally feel awful when my profits go to sweatshop owners as they are terrible to their employees (some sweatshops have 'suicide nets' so you cant jump out the window)

Cheap clothing and accessories often break quickly, this disposable system is not sustainable and is bad for all of us.(minus the small % filling their pockets)

I don't spend much time thinking about trends and 'what's in'. I buy all of my stuff second hand, preferrably if the store has charity proceeds.
I match clothes and don't like things to clash but you could still say i dress very simply.

Growing up I my household shopped at kmart etc for clothes. I didn't think about any 'consequence' until I was about 20 when I started learning some facts.

How do you feel gc? If you only buy new and from cheap sources (kmart for example), are you aware of the industry and work conditions you support?

Not something we think about. in highschool all the clothes I paid out the ass new instore were more then likey made in a sweatshop for pennys on the dollar. Now I just buy the same shit at a second hand store for hell less.

I still have a large portion of the clothes I bought 5years ago. most in a reasonable condition for there age.
