diesel trucks rolling coal on motorcycles

Discussion in 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' started by Bob Barker, Feb 9, 2015.

  1.  I ride a scooter in a area with lots of diesel trucks. The other day this dude was ''rolling coal'' or what ever you call it. Accelerating hard to produce lots of black smoke as they think its funny to make people breath that in, there are truck forums with people bragging about it.. Well the light turned red ahead of me and I would of been right next to his muffler but I stopped way far back b/c I knew what he was going to do.  When it turned green he switched to my lane floored it and smoked out my lane. I just held my breath for 30 secs and road through. So far this is the 2nd time its happened and both times I got to that point where I want to show them they are fucking with the wrong guy. So far I have turned to my inner yogi to chill out and stop seeing red but man one of these times I'm going to lose it.

I hear you man there's a bunch of little fag boys at my college who think it's cool. It's just there little man syndrome kicking in. Driving in giant trucks to make up for little dicks.

  3. thats pretty fucked up. I would say you would definately be in the right to call the cops for that shit, smokescreening someone on a scooter could be deadly(i guess with a car too but on scooter tree>head). IF they pulled em over they may not be able to write em a ticket but im sure they could make em feel like a real POS. Any cops who ride will really stand behind you.

  4. follow the person. you most certainly get better MPG. buy a valve core removal tool and do what you will.

you may already have one depending on if you do your own scooter tire changes.

^^thats not really the point though. Doesnt matter if your a very open homosexual wearing a rainbow suit, riding with your teddy-bear sized dog, on a pink scooter, you still dont deserve to have some asshole smoke you out with his exhaust so you cant see and get a nice lungful of exhaust. Hopefully they fuck with someone like this who goes all "leon the professional" on them and shows em whats up

  11. I have owned lots of bikes and scooters are fun :) I lived in asia for awhile so maybe thats where my love for scooters comes from.

  12. How good are you without hands? Go Dennis the Menace style with a slingshot and a sack of "small-ish" ball bearings.
    Maybe I have road rage...

  13. In my area it seems like the guys rolling coal all have busted ass trucks. I've never seen it happen in person but I drive a truck myself.

  14. black smoke tends to mean big power. blue smoke means you should see a mechanic. these are just general guidelines though... a friend of mine has an '01 Excursion with the 7.3 and when he sets the programer in the factory setting and floors it, no smoke. but when he ups the programmer, he casts large storm clouds out the exhaust. he says the smoke/soot is un-burned fuel.

what kind of truck do you drive?  ive seen small diesels make black clouds. VW TDi's, even a Jeep Liberty with the CRD. newer diesels have more complex exhausts than 10 years ago. some folks like to remove the cleaning components from these exhausts some say its necessary when upping the power on a newer diesel.

Just carry a 1/2 in closed end wrench. 'Wheel nut wrench'. When you catch up to them at the stop light, clean off their tail lights and windows for em. I've been on 2 wheels a lot of my life, and on a bicycle for instance, I would carry a frame pump, not a compact, so if someone fucks with me I take a window. Or a mirror. 90% of people in cars are fucking stupid, and you have to treat them like they are so stupid you expect their stupidity.

I understand tuning diesel trucks to get optimal performance and dig it but I see alot of beat up trucks with bad suspensions blowing smoke. lol I have a baby truck, reg cab tacoma. Soccer mom mini vans and prius drivers hassle me the most.

my tdi has a straight pipe and evry mod and it ll roll some coal. my 2010 duramax does not throw any black smoke (this is just before the urea exhaust fluid systems). The black is excess fuel, typically when boosting or under load you ll see it. These stock new vehicles dont smoke because the factory has em tuned to be as clean and efficient as possible. They prob have millionbs into that ecu's tuning so when one of us throws a turbo and 500 bullydog (or whatever) you re not getting a perfect tune. A good dynotuned truck shouldnt be throwing out giant plumes of smoke. Diesels also throttle by dumping fuel, no throttle plate hence why you never see a bov on em.  a gas car opens the air and fuel tags along for the ride, obv things like direct injection change this, im talking simplified generalities.

  18. You sure??

  19. glad you noticed us rednecks. although I love rolling coal, I don't on cars... or scooters, unless it's the Piggers

    ~stay trippy~

  20. Were you referring to me ? a well tuned truck may roal some coal when you first lean into it bust it should clear up as the turbo and engine catch up to the fuel load. You shouldnt really be throwing up a smokescreen everywhere you drive, egts would be reallll high in that case.
