  1. looking to buy a pick up truck soon but no idea where to start, don't really know a lot about them either but I'm looking for these in the pick up : looking for a big pick up that's good if I crash don't wanna get the truck lifted, one that I can see down the road, one that's good for a safety if I get crashed into or if I do crash. I was thinking about Ford F-150 or Toyota Tundra! Any help would be appreciated blades!

  2. The ford is a beast

  3. Fords are nice! I'm kinda just looking for a big truck though deff don't wanna get it lifted! I just want something that can keep me safe in if I crash, and it's big even if I do get crashed into no major problems

  4. Why are you worried about crashing and being crashed into? A 1500 truck is going to take a good amount of damage if you crash it. Anything short of a Peterbilt will get significant damage in a crash. Maybe a unimog may not get too damaged.
As to your question, fords will be easier to source parts. Probably better as it will be cheaper, so when you crash it, it doesn't burn your wallet.

  5. Super Duty F-350

  8. What are you wanting it for? Pulling? Off road capable? Cruising around?

How much are you wanting to spend?

I have 5 trucks that I use on the farm. 3 Chevy 2500s, 1 Chevy 1500, and a Ford F-150. I previously had an f-250 but it was a piece of shit that stayed in the shop more than work.

The f-150 is pretty much shit too, the transmission was rebuilt at 120k and it's about to be rebuilt again before I sell it in a couple weeks.

The Chevys are awesome especially the Allison transmission in the duramax 2500s. The 1500 is my old personal truck, 275k and still running strong.

Personally I've owned 4 Chevys. A 98 s10 zr2 that was my first truck, and I didn't take care of it like I should. Stayed in mud holes, drove the shit out of if, it pretty much literally fell apart at 181k. The 98 z71 1500 is the one with 275k that I still use on the farm. I've got a 2002 z71 1500 that's my play toy so to speak. All my personal trucks habe been at least leveled out with big tires but this one is a beast. 7" lift, 38"s true dual straight pipes. It's a beast. I bought it used with 70k, currently sitting at 149k with no problems. Last but not least is my 09 z71. It's a nice truck don't get me wrong but I prefer driving my older ones. My new truck feels too much like driving a car.

And dodges are good trucks as well but be prepared for that some bitch to drink gas. Feel free to message me with any questions.

    Fuckin BEAST MODE!!! :metal:

IDK WTF you could use it for. Too big and heavy for off road. Too high to tow. Tiny bed. I suppose you could haul a lot of gold bars with it, which comes in handy because this thing will drink two a week lolol
I suppose it would be a good family bug out vehicle in a natural disaster.....

    Had to add this...

  10. There is a man in my town who owns one of the f550s, and he uses it to tow a huge trailer all the time in the summer. I bribed him with a coffee to take me for a ride, it is pretty different. Like an f150 that took steroids for 10 years straight, then drank testosterone like water. It actually bombs pretty decent offroad, now his is mostly stock though. The width is what really holds it back.

  11. Get a toyota stop playing around.
you can buy a hot wheels truck from Walmart for 3$

  12. You can get a RC4WD TF2 Hilux rc truck. You can crash the shit out of it without costly damage, and its 399$

  14. We have a 2011 F-150 with the V6 (same one they put in the mustang) for our business and its a pretty great truck. Had a minor fender bender in a parking lot. Rear ended by a small car and hit another small car in the rear. The cars looked like they had crashed going 60mph the truck had a small scratch on the bumper.
It gets about 20mpg if you aren't hauling or towing anything and you drive smart. With a 1000 pound trailer and 2 yards of gravel it gets about 15-16 and surprisingly doesn't lose to much power as long as you floor it going uphill. Unloaded the truck hauls a surprising amount of ass. If we put a 55 gallon drum full of water in the back we can go just about anywhere we need to with 2 wheel drive. Without weight in the back though it spins tires on flat ground if its a little muddy.
