Day 55 - Outdoors 3/28/15 Three Elders Area 51 Panama Red Purple Star Spicebox Strange Brew Thai Mist White Widow Several things stood out to us. One, which we anticipated, was the almost universal big growth spurt after planting outdoors. Most of the plants showed good growth this week. The other item which we did not anticipate was the slow growth from WW-2 and PS-2, which we believe is from temporary root shock from being transplanted.
The Purple Star looks like you got the short internodal pheno. I've got both types, the short stocky and the tall lanky.
I was so busy processing all the data and photos that I really didn't pay much attention to the individual strains. For instance the 2 Spicebox juveniles seem to be showing entirely different physical traits. The plant on the left is definitely showing it's sativa parentage while the plant on the right is showing more of the Sour Diesel parentage.

Thanks for the props! Keep in mind that the plant volume is somewhat misleading due to all the empty spaces in the plant structure. This is best illustrated by comparing the pictures of Panama Red and the first Thai Mist.

I was seeing similar coloration in my leaves a while back. I grow with my own soil mix and added 1/4 cup each of crab meal, kelp meal and neem cake per 5 gallons of soil. This cleared it up for me and now my plants have green leaves again. You might try giving them some kelp tea. I don't remember if you're mixing your own soil or using bottled nutrients. What happened to 3Elders?

Some new seeds were germinated to replace the strains we're harvesting soon. The Spicebox, from the leaf photos, was watered with a very dilute solution of Magnesium sulfate, Epsom Salts, and the deficiency corrected itself.

Each of these has a sister that is much taller and has a while to go before they fully mature. White Widow-2 38cm = 14g dry weight Uncured: still needs tested.
\t\t\t\tPurple Star \t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPurple Star was harvested on 5/25/15 after the trichomes were scoped and found to be 50% cloudy and 50% amber. The cola spears are very dense and filled in fully with a lot of weight to them. We have high hopes for the quality of this strain. We don't want to wait to try this one, but for the sake of comparative testing we're willing to wait the week it needs to dry. A full smoke report will be published in next weeks post!
