Back Tracing IPs

  1. Sup blades, so pretty much what I'm trying to do is trace my fathers physical location because he ran off on my mom and she needs alimony for my younger sisters. I have some emails from him this past Christmas and I would try and backtrace the email headers for the ip location. When I did this I got confusing results. It said it was in the US, state/region: AE
    City: Apo

It also states at the bottom that his IP address has been assigned by the Reseaux IP Europeens Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) RIPE is the Regional Internet Regestry (RIR) for Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and african countries locates north of the equator.

So in short help me trace this bastard down guys, for my mom. I don't know if it helps to know but he may be using a company issued laptop he use to work for Dyncorp

  2. Is he in the army?

  3. If you think it is a wise idea to trace private military IP's then you are going to have more problems than finding your father.

  4. hire a lawyer and do it proper. cover your ass. call a private investigator. and ask advice. but a lawyer would be an almost guarantee of receiving the alimony.

  5. My mother is going to see a lawyer Tuesday I just wanted to try myself. Also no he is not in the army is was a contractor that got high up in his department. Nothing crazy just manages all the hvac teams on on the us bases in afghan. Since a few months ago he was given the orders to pack up due to the declining mimicry presence in Afghanistan. So he's not military really, and i don't think he's technically "employed" with the company at the moment.

  6. One possible solution would be to open a civil case, and then subpoena the ISP to give the billing details of that person.

  7. Bring this issue to 4chan :)
