Making Colloidal Silver solution

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by rogerp, Jan 31, 2015.

  1. I've read several articles about making Colloidal Silver which seems simple enough. The question is how much Distilled Water do you use to make a batch? It would seem to me that the concentration of the the solution is critical. The articles I've read say that you leave the electrified silver in the Distilled water overnight or 7 hours to get the proper concentration. But the concentration would depend on the amount of Distilled Water you used. Can any give an answer or direct to a web site where I could find the answer? Thanks.

  2. If you get a TDS meter, you'll be able to tell your concentration. Just be sure to test the water before you start so you have a baseline of Total Disolved Solids in your water.

  3. Get a good recipe and follow it close like, 7 hours with a 9vdc battery, or 3-4 hours at 27vdc phone charger, many possibilities out there, but avoid coins use silver wire, tds meters don't work well, so go by experience, look for the silver skin floating on top, it goes from cloudy to skim on top ...you are done, store even make it in dim or light proof room for the best results

  4. Why does one make Colloidal Silver? I've read on the interwebs that Colloidal Silver has no real benefits and can actually do harm.

    This is from MAYOCLINIC:

It's not clear how much colloidal silver may be harmful, but it can build up in your body's tissues over months or years. Most commonly, this results in argyria (ahr–JIR–e–uh), a blue-gray discoloration of your skin, eyes, internal organs, nails and gums. While argyria doesn't pose a serious health problem, it can be a cosmetic concern because it doesn't go away when you stop taking silver products.

    Just curious...

  5. While some people do drink colloidal silver, that's not what people are talking about on here.

The colloidal silver you see mentioned on here is to be sprayed on a plant. Doing so in flower will cause a female plant to grow male pollen sacks. You can then take this pollen to create feminized seeds.

It's usually not even recommend you smoke the bud that may have been sprayed when you created the seeds.
