Ice water vs hot water flush before harvest

  1. Well 1 of my fast and vast autos is ready for harvest and the others will be ready very soon. I am thinking of trying a hot or cold flush prior to harvest to increase resin has anyone tried either method and if so was there a difference ? Or even 48 hour darkness if anyone has tried that would be good to know any ways anyone has increased resin production prior to harvest really even thought there pretty damn frosty it would b great to lay even more on.

  2. So i am really curious about the hot water way. I have always flushed with cold but not ice cold water, I would say that lukewarm water is better than cold. i could see the benefits of hotter water as it has a higher affinity to carry nutes away but I dont think you want too hot or it could hurt the plant (im talking from only AP Chem and Ap bio classes so i may be very wrong) And the 48 hour darkness is a must for dank bud.
    Hope that helps dude.

  3. These questions are all going to get different answers and no one will ever agree. People's personal experiences tend to heavily override any scientific fact that may exist.

For one, flushing with hot or cold water does nothing but shock the roots and the plants. Stress is bad for your plants MMMKay.

Second, the 24-48 of darkness rumor has been around for a long long time and no proof of its effectiveness exists. It's another one of those "whatever tickles your fancy" type things.

With that said. I heavily advise you flush with room temp water and chop right before the lights kick on on your regular light cycle.

In the end. Why not experiment with all of these and see for yourself, half the fun of growing is experimenting anyways.Just make sure you do these to the same strains from the same harvest to get a good comparison.

    Bham
