Since last night it became almost impossible for me to browse this forum. It takes up to 3 minutes to get into any section of the forum. I see that on the bottom of the browser (firefox) it says connecting to: static.grscty.com. It's not my internet connection as any other website/forum loads fast as usual. Already deleted cookies and tried browsing on IE. Same problem. What can be causing this?
Seems to be affecting some people, but not others...a couple of staff have ad problems too... The only suggestion I can think of at the moment is to try to flush your DNS cache...maybe it's just a slow server? This can be done from your command prompt as detailed here, or you can get utilites such as SlimCleaner that you can set to do it for you... Either that or wait until tech has a chance to look into it...
oh wow, this thread actually went through. it took a while to appear after I created it. hopefully it can be sorted out soon.
Threads in here and forum feedback have to be approved by a staff member before they appear...not because we don't want to censor what people say, but because it seems to be the only way to keep these sections from getting flooded with new members asking their grow or drug test questions in here... Keeps the forums cleaner and on topic... Hopefully all will be good soon...we're doing our best to track it down...
Any change? Gnik found an issue, and disabled that service, I don't know that it made a difference though...I know it didn't make a difference for the one person who checked on it... Unfortunately, it's the middle of the night over there right now...tech is aware of the problem though, they'll get it solved...
Still slow, seems like it hangs on some images but displays most of them fine...I have a few avatars that don't show up at all even after the long load.
Okay...thanks...we'll have to look elsewhere... They're trying to trace the delay now... Someone will update here when there's further news... Appreciate the input and the patience...
I thought it was just me having issues with images loading last night, but today I can't even get a page to load all the way. It looks like 1997 up in here.
Sped up a bit within the last few minutes, still slow and not loading half the pics/avatars but at least the page looks normal again

Tried a DNS flush. Didn't work. Still...................SUPER Slooooooooooow. Literally takes 3 minutes for a page to load.
One of the servers that mainly services the west part of Canada and the US is having problems...they have been working on it all day, and it looks like they have made some improvements, but at this time, it is still not fully functional... It is not a server that is owned or maintained by Grasscity, so our tech staff has been trying to provide them with info, but that's about all that they can do... The problem is known, and it is being addressed... I would like to apologize to everyone who is experiencing slow downs, and especially to those in the dead areas who's service is so slow that they cannot even effectively log on... Suffice to say, it is more than a minor inconvenience for both members, and staff, as we have staff members who can't even get online because of the problems... Please bear with us folks...we are doing everything that we can on our end...
The last 2 days all I was getting was a white page and text. Now it loads very slow and I dont see most pictures or avatars.
it is still running extremely slow but this is the first time i have actually been able to get on since the problem started so improvement!
For me, as of this morning, it is totally, 100%..............fixed. Thanks to the mods for the updates on this. Much appreciated.
Apparently is was still not all the way there earlier this morning, but from what I understand, it's now back up and working... Supposedly there may still be minor problems with avatars missing here and there, but the speed should be back to normal... Thanks to everyone for their patience with this issue...sorry once again that it took so long to get the city working for you people... Welcome back...
Seems to be working 100% or near 100% for me. All icons/avis/pictures are loading now and the forum is loading a lot quicker without hangups.
