Why do people like such greasy food?

  1. I know there's apparently some biological reason humans crave salt, sugar, and fat, but I guess it doesn't apply to me because I rarely have a sweet tooth and salty greasy food usually grosses me out. Dx My uncle just made a pizza, which is fine on its own, and he made garlic butter, which is fine on just bread or pasta, but he poured it all over the pizza insted of just his slices and now I don't even have an appetite. Dx That's just way too much grease on something already greasy. Why do people like shit like that so much? Why isn't just garlic good enough?

  2. Because greasy food is fuckin' awesome.

Sounds like your uncle doesn't know how to cook lol... Tell him the proper way to do it is to brush the garlic butter onto the crust before baking. This way, it bakes into the crust and doesn't just pool on top of everything.

  4. because tasty.

  5. idk..I guess its just part of being human! we like shit thats bad for us..
I mean If I was there with ur uncy! we'd be tearing it up loool :yummy:

  6. Because they don't have Crohn's Disease.

  7. It's just one of the rules of life.

Everything good in life is either greasy, fattening, unhealthy, illegal or morally bad.

  8. Cause healthy food sucks and is tasteless.

  9. Morals are overrated.

  10. I do, and it doesn't stop me from enjoying a cheeseburger a day (head chef at a burger/seafood restaurant lol). Fortunately for me, grease isn't one of my triggers.

  11. Yeah I try to stay away from grease, it really messes with me. Each patient is different though, something I have realized from the short time I've had this illness..

You should check out the Crohn's Disease experience thread though.

  12. I've had it for about 17 years, was diagnosed when I was 9. Bit rough at first, but once things got under control I'm good.

Sorry OP, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

  13. The greasier the easier lol

  14. I don't mind fried food as long as it drains on some paper towels for a bit, but I can't stand it dripping grease. I wouldn't call myself a health fanatic or anything, like I don't count calories or anything, I just try to keep at least my main meals natural and nutritious. xD And for some reason, just the sensation of greasy food squicks me out.

  16. Eating unhealthy is great, especially if you have enough work ethic to not let yourself get fat.

On the other hand tho working out isn't going to save you from clogging your arteries with greasy shit... but thats a risk im willing to take.
