Going LED was the best move I've made next to going Organic. Ill post some non-led lit pics as soon as she's about to switch later.
I've read several grow journals on this Blue Dream and the 2 main phenotypes are a sativa leaning, haze smelling pheno and a Blueberry smelling indica pheno. All I can say is that this girl reeks of berry's.
Well, I could write out some huge long story but I prefer not too. So here goes. Came home this evening, noticed the main cola was changing color on the leaves. Googled stage harvesting. Checked trics on main cola... I'd say 70/30 cloudy/amber. Was shocked. Read an article by Ed Rosenthal describing stage harvesting and some strains finishing from the top down. Checked lower tops... 80/20 cloudy/clear. So decision time. Harvested the main cola without hesitation. The foxtailing, the leaves changing, the trics, the swelling, there were just too many reasons to chop it off. I definitely don't want it all ambered out. The rest probably has a week left. So here is the illustrious, beautiful main cola... Cheers.
So, I'm questioning whether the main being done first was from genetics or its being closest to the light...? Hmm....
I'm a believer in the light being the culprit. Looks like a tasty cola though, nice tight trim. Probably let the rest go maybe a week you say? Probably about right.
Out of pure curiosity I checked trics from the top of the cola down. The very top is roughly 60/40 cloudy/amber. Half way down is about 75/27, and the bottom of the cola is about 95 cloudy with little amber.
