Took me 6 years of being a hardcore music fan to get into prog. Now that I am, I can't get enough. Sitting down and just listening to a 10 minute song is like a journey, an entire experience that a short 4 minute standard structure song just can't provide. Being a bit of a metalhead i'm more inclined to heavy stuff, but all well written songs I can appreciate in one way or another.
