I had a big Jack Herer female, and a sativa heavy white widow male. As I chopped the male I squeezed a few pollen sacks and rubbed my fingers on a Jack Herer bud. Tada, Jack's Widow was born. This is my first one I'm growing. I'm at 6 1/2 weeks from the flip to 12/12. I'm using 600w HID, the yellow one, dam I'm stoned. In rDWC, using floranova one part bloom, silica, and H2O2. ~600 ppm, ~5.8 pH, ~75f lights on, ~65f lights off. Is this bud development normal and will it fatten up, or is it going to remain lose and fluffy? I'm guessing it will be a 12 week plant, but I wouldn't be surprised if it went longer.
That looks awesome man. Yours look perfect. They will definitely beef up. Looks like you'll have a great yield. The next 4 weeks you'll be stringing them up for support.
I didn't see which light you are using How much they fatten up has a lot to do with how much light intensity and umoles/m^/sec, especially below ~ 15" from the bottom of the light My buds are considerably fatter, denser, and heavier under Amare Tech Solar Specs than under my 432w Quantum Bad Boy, or BML SPYDR 600
Man that is some really scraggly bud for 6.5 weeks. I had a plant like that last year, it just kept growing like that. It was as if it was in the stretch the whole time. After about 7 weeks I gave up and chucked it out. Are you getting visible growth day to day? I feel that you may just be unlucky with the genetics, I have seen this growth pattern with other growers on this forum
My Alaskan thunderfuck was like that. popcorn bud city. Taste great but no bag appeal whatsoever. Turned much of it into oil. Im still not a fan of Sativas indoors but keep planting the fuckers. Now I got some OOKUSH going on.
You are so intent on being critical, I guess you did not notice that I mentioned Quantum Bad Boy (hot5) AND BML SPYDR (led) Anyway reread (or in your case have someone read to you) the OP, which talks about loose and fluffy buds
With some Sativas seven weeks is the hallway point, is say that's too soon to be sure. I don't even flip my lights to 10/14 till week eight. But this one is largely looser than the mom. Thanks for the input
in my opinion it was enough time to be sure, it wasn't about how far gone it was, it was how it was growing. Besides that, it was a 10 week auto, so way over halfway
Since the genetics are new, the only way to truly be sure is to finish it out. It's possible that it's just a slow starter that could fatten up in the end. However, seems to be off to a questionable start. Hope she kicks in for ya.
