Is this normal on seedlings?

  1. This is my second grow with 600 watt hps/mh light, the seedlings are autos from nirvana and today I noticed one plant had light markings on leaves and want site of this was normal.

They are in fox farms happy frog soil with azomite and perlite mixed, they are about 9 days old.

Just trying to get beat of these babies!

  2. Im on my 4th grow and ive had this every grow. But this is my first grow in all organic. I think my was a calcium def, it looked similar to yours and i added drainage holes so it doesnt sit in the same water for days. The second row usually is fine on mine but it comes back late in flower. But i think it was due to ph changes. Thats why i sent organic. No need to worry
Did you add lime. That will help ph and calcium

  3. This is my first in organic toi that's why I thought I would ask and im using general organics cal mag for calcium but was told don't feed anything for first three weeks because of soil I used which is fox farms happy frog mixed with azomite and perlite. She gets plenty of drainage and always checking ph (usually 6.5) It's the only one out of 7 that has it

  4. Don't. Feed. That. Plant. ANYTHING. Just keep watering it when the pot gets dry, it's completely fine right now.

  5. Yea I was sure a deficiency wasnt it but didn't know if the soil mix could be burning it, Or humidity to low, etc.

  6. That plant won't need a single nutrient until it's about 8"-12" tall depending on size of the container.

  7. That seedling has zero stretch, so you might be giving it a bit too much light. They don't need a 600w when they are that small.

  8. Its a dimmable ballast and I have it on 50 percent and my last grow they werent this short but I used hps the whole grow plus soil has been filled in around them they are about an inch taller than they look

I have had markings like this in the past and have never found out the culprit. However, it has never gotten any worse, never spread, and got better seemingly all by itself. For this reason I would just ignore it.

Have you sprayed it with anything by any chance?

Other than those small blotches it looks good

  10. Maybe some plain water once or twice may have splashed by accident when watering but not that I know of. Thanks at least someone has seen it before lol

  11.
It is recommended to switch out the bulb to a lower wattage when dimming the ballast. They tend to burn out quicker if not.

I would think about using CFLs or a bank of T8s or T5s for seedlings to small plants in veg, although they won't grow as fast as with a MH.

  12. Yea that's where in stuck because I like autos they don't have that much time in veg for cfls

  13. Completely normal, gorgeous seedling. Just do everything you need to and the plants take care of the rest. Although keeping them under cfls when they are this young is a better idea after they are a bit bigger putting them under hps is a good idea, just my 2 cents though . Happy growing

  14. Wel now it seems to be getting worse.... This is a different plant but same grow and looks almost the same. They are preflowering now still under mh and plant did not look like this 2 days ago any help?
