I've heard people say that the reason why people don't completely dry them so it weighs more and they can sell it for more, other than that it has no benefits (I maybe wrong just trying to confirm this info) People say that it's far much nicer completely dry because it reduces smell and also removes the harsh moist smoke, correct it burns out quicker but the properties will be the same not like it will lose THC.
Rather than playing around with jars for weeks to months just leave it for week or 2 to 100% dry, discuss whats the difference will it be better, advantages and disadvantages of both, Also does curing/drying weed make the house smell?

  2. The properties aren't the same and it would indeed lose THC.

  3. It's always best to cure as you will get a much nicer smoke. People don't bother curing when they just selling it as some of the weight is lost during the cure. But yes it dose remove the harsh taste when properly cured. I have herd that when you cure for months and months the smell is increased and so is the potancy. I always cure mine as the smoke is so much nicer. But if your flogging in tut tut then just hang dry it till it feels dry on the outside and i always use the stem as an indicator if it bends then it still to wet if snaps you good to go.
    lose the thc when cured?????

  4. I think he means it would lose THC when it's 100% dried

  5. It doesn't loose it's thc when dried at all. You can cure your weed for years and it wouldn't loose it's thc you just have to get the buds to the sweet spot in the cure process then you could leave it in a jar for months even years apparently when cannabis is graded and voted on in cups and mag reviews they only grade the weed after 6 months of curing to get the best possible taste and effects.
When it's cured properly it's classed as dry

  6. If you dried too 0% your smoke would be dust, crumbly, dry as hell. It would burn up fast a fk and taste like monkeys ass....I guess if you like licking on dusty monkeys ass, go for it

  7. I think after a few days you get down to 12% moisture or so. CURE them bitches. Yes, the most smell will be while trimming and for about 3 days following. if you are smart you will dry in a closed room and if you do not have a scrubber start cleaning your house with pinesol as to mask the smell during its peak stink.

its going to smell drying also. With wanting to clone, veg, flower, and dry continually, while controlling smell, you need separate areas set up. Just about the only way to get away w/ just 1 tent set up is to go from seed to dry all in one tent, then start over from seed. But that doesn't work with clones very well.

potency will never increase due to any phenomena other then while growing. the terpenes and cannabinoids can and do change during cure, but THC, among all other molecules contained in the material, can and will never increase from their original content. you can have THC degrade into CBN, again changing structure but not increasing.

0% moisture content is actually very difficult to achieve under anything but lab conditions. what most should hope for in a nice smoking bud is around 10-12 % moisture content.
