  1. Yo guys,

I booked a trip to Amsterdam and wanted to know which coffee shops are worth visiting?

    Cheers,

You're going to be disappointed. I was very keen on going to Amsterdamn, but from the stories I've heard it isn't worth it. I'll just wait till Canada legalizes it and we start putting up coffee shops.
I'm thinking about going to somewhere in Spain or Sweden, though.
I still may go, but it's doubtful

  3. Hmm I dunno man, being from the UK I think Amsterdam is gonna be sick, I'm sure Barcelona has legal weed and it looks a cool place too.

  4. Amsterdam's a brilliant city, you'll be far from disappointed.

I can't remember the name of this place but it was one of the best I've been too, had built in vaporisers on tables upstairs. Smoked the best hash I've ever had there. It was on the corner of a street, and had a real hippy feel to it. Wasn't far from Route 66 if my memory  serves me right…another good one actually. Nice big tables to sit at.

One to avoid though…De Kroon. Weed was average, and the staff weren't very helpful or friendly.

  5. I actually googled the best coffee shops and somewhere that sounds exactly like that was on there, I'll have to find the list and go there!

Did you find that the coffee shops were busy?

  6.

Fair enough, he probably won't be disappointed with Amsterdam as a whole - but the cannabis scene there is very shady - of course from what I have heard. People have had weed sprayed with fiberglass, dusted with sand and everything in between. I definitely think it would be something to see, I just meant the cannabis scene isn't what it once was.
Columba, mind me asking when you last visited?

  7. Yeah some were pretty busy, depends when you go I guess. I went October of last year, it was good, not too busy, not too quiet. Weather wasn't great though. Stayed near the bulldog cafe and that place was always packed. We would just go to get our weed then leave, smoke it back at the hostel or the park if it was sunny. Didn't really like the vibe of the place to be honest. Also, I never went, but a few of my mates tried to go to Grey Area on the last day but it was full. Some great weed there though, worth a try.

Exploring's the fun part, get a map, a bike and go coffeeshop touring. We found some weird and wonderful places :smoking:

Oh fuck I just remembered…go to Barney's and get some tangerine dream. It's the tits.

October mate. I've only been disappointed once, but that's what I get for getting some 'Jamaican Skunk' for 8 euros lol Think I ended up giving it to a homeless dude.

Most shops are very well run, and they really care about what their selling. I can't imagine many places selling bud that's sprayed or whatever, it would seriously harm their business. Some owners are incredibly passionate about their bud, they'll be bringing out tubs of it left, right and centre, like 'hey man you gotta smell this, or smoke this or whatever. Places like that are where you wanna be.

  9. Just been for New Years.

Hit up Barneys, hunters, grey area, wonder bar lounge is good for chilling but you cannot buy in there, same for green house seeds.

Visit dampkrin glass gallery for stunning glass pieces, hit me up for more info if you want.

    Chef.

  10.
What was it like on New years? Did they have a big street party?

Quite curious…thought about going for hogmanay myself.

Hmm...guess I should see for myself. Been wanting to take a trip somewhere forever - but I'm very introvert so it would basically be a waste of money. I'll probably wait till I get a serious girlfriend to take or something, I need someone who will get me to go out places instead of just chilling getting baked by myself.
Want to see Spain, Sweden, Amsterdam or maybe Aus
And it was more or less the majority of coffee shops had sub-par weed advertising it as 'kush' or whatever; only heard of a few incidents of sprayed buds.

  12.
You should, but it must be an expensive trip for you guys, probably not worth it to go just for the weed if your from canada. There must be equally good bud if not better out there from what I've been hearing. And cheaper. If I were you I'd try to travel round Europe for a summer, making Amsterdam one of your stops.

Last time I went my flight was £40, it takes about 45mins to an hour and your there. I can go for a weekend trip and spend less than £400. That's having a good time too :smoke:

  13. Chef already mentioned it, but Grey Zone is the cream of the crop for shops IMO.

  14. Oh man, it wouldn't be for the weed. I feel so blessed living in Canada. It's ridiculous in some places...my ex-girlfriend - we're still great friends - went to Ireland a bit back, and for $20 got a joint that half tobacco and was SHIT weed. I can't even believe that...it's not unmentionables, guys...
I would more go for the experience, I also want to go down to Washington/Colorado to see the regulatory system in action.

    I feel so blessed here.

I couldn't do a summer. I'm the kind of person who goes somewhere and just can't wait to be home. I think it's more of a familiarity thing.

  16.
Canada's a good place to be for a smoker, probably gonna get better too. lol I can believe that, Ireland is renowned for weed being hard to find and ridiculously priced. I'm in Glasgow, weed's good here to be honest, it will cost you but it's there if you want it. I would say that I can get some 'dank' lol. Variety isn't great though, lots of cheese, amnesia haze and lemon haze going about. That's what I like about the dam, lots and lots of choices :smoke:

  17. If your going just for the weed and coffee shops you'd be better off going to Colorado.

  18. Grey area is very good for strong weed. Dampkring is very good too, especially their hash. I like the space cakes from paradox. Avoid most places in the very centre (as in, within 15 minute walk from the train station) since they're usually tourist traps with high prices for average weed.

  19. Colorado would cost me like £1000 more man.

  20. You are going for the wrong reasons my friend.
