I don't want to buy the ash catcher AND adapter only to find out that it will tip over my piece. The mini rig is 7.1 inches tall and the ash catcher is 5 inches tall, can't seem to find the weight of either though. Thanks in advance!
Dont know why you would ever want an ashcatcher on an oil piece. Makes no sense at all, seriously dont get it.
looking at the piece itself, the bowl is meant to sit straight up. I think with the addition of that ash catcher giving additional weight off to the side, it will make it unbalanced and easy to tip, but the only true way to tell is to try it out, just my hunch from looking at the pieces. If you want to be sure, personally I would look into a carbon filter which will sit upright and not effect the balance, it will act as an ash catcher as well and being as it sits vertically, will not make it go off balance, it will just require a bit more maintenance.
@NYCchronic Obviously I'm not going to use the ash catcher for oil... I smoke more bud than I do oil and am just looking for cleaner rips and a cleaner rig. @allusernamestaken! THANK YOU. That's the answer I was looking for. I'll take a look into carbon filters.
