  1. Ive ordered an auto mix and none germ, now i orderedcaramel king and cheese i have 3 seeds left, i have tried in paper towel, glass of water, i bought and setup a dwc system and am currently trying rockwool cubes can anyone help with tips.....please

  2. How exactly are you doing it?..how long have they been germinating? Temps? Are they wet or damp?

  3.  Well from what i tried worked here is what we did.

I got damp paper towel and then put all seeds in them i did like 10 a paper.

Then folded it up and covered mine in the top corner closet , and placed a comforter or cloth on it and kept it in dark for 3 days..

When I opened the paper towel I had the roots out the seed.. From there I went and planted em.. In pots they are now under lights for 18/0.

not to mention my seeds are from my dealers mid that gets me pretty dam high for mids.

You can follow my thread and see my progress or get tips from others that has answered my questions as well  w/o them or this site

  4. The paper towel method works great. Foolproof. Look it up or do exactly what ogkushmatic just wrote. It works.

  5. Dude germinating seeds doesn't require Einstein IQ/knowledge I say you just got conned and got shitty seeds, contact the seedbank, explain to them, but play it smart either say your seeds were missing/were crushed or just say you live in a state or planning on traveling to or temporary moved to a legal state and germinating them there and non of them popped.

  6. I always use paper towels and have 100% success rate.  I dunno how you are doing it, so I will advise as to my method.

I usually germ 20 or so at a time so I use a big tupperware container.  I put one sheet on the bottom just to have one there, and the I either fold up a double sheet, or use four select a size sheets and give it a coffin type of opening for easy access.  I put them in a lower cupboard in the kitchen next to the stove and give them about 24 hours.  Usually, several of them with throw tails out in that time.  Once they have 1/4" to 1/2" tails (taproots), I plant them in solo cups.  This is where you can hurt them though, so be careful.  I use a wooden chopstick to make the hole in the dirt, and tweezers to place the sprout pointed downward.  Cover the top of it just barely with dirt and you should be good after a week of 24/0.

  7.

Yup exactly how I did mine...

  8. A few things could be happening. 1 you have shitty seeds or 2 you are planting them too deeply and they can't reach the top.

  9. Did they at least split and wag their tails?

  10.
They actually split waged there tails and said hey pass that  :smoking:

  11. Ok.  How deep did you plant them?  What was the soil mix?  How bad did you soak the hell out of them?

  12. The old magical paper towel trick..  :confused_2:

The whole goal you're trying to achieve with the paper towel is to soak the seed.

You should not soak the seed any longer than two days. Don't wait for a tail to grow before you plant it.

By the third day your seed should have been planted in moist soil or some kind of other moist growing medium.

And your first mistake was putting them all in the paper towel at once.

Your 2nd mistake was using paper towels and not soaking them directly in soil or your growing medium.

Paper towels can damage micro roots you can't see and cause stress you don't want.

  13. If you touch the emerging root after germination, there is always the possibility of infecting the seedling, there is no reason to take this chance by pre-germinating.  Paper towels have a lot of chemicals left from processing that I wouldn't want on my seedlings.  Millions of seeds are sown daily without pre-germinating in paper towels in professional horticulture, the only place you find people doing this is in MJ forums.  Plant the seed directly into the medium it will be grown in for best results.

  14. For somebody like me, I don't have time or floor space to wait and see if a seed is going to pop.  I pre-pop them so I know that it has popped.  I have done it my way a ton of times without issue, but I am VERY careful.  I wont plant a seed unless I know it has popped and has a tail.  I hate watching dirt not knowing if I am wasting my time.

Sure you can just plant them directly into soil without issue, I just prefer my method.

  15. Maybe try the simplest way possible your 1st grow....germ them straight in seed starting soil like fox farms light warrior. Then finish the grow in soil....good soil not miracle grow
