I have been tweaking this DIY this method for 3 grows

It combines shallow bubbler with seedlings/clones in 3-6" net pots

I use air stone discs as they provide low height = minimal water volume + large surface area for bubbles

I use polished ornamental stones from Dollar Store

First I put down a layer of SMALL stones inside each net pot then insert the starter cube, carefully adding stones around it to stabilize the starter cube so as not to damage the delicate stems

Net pots are placed on a plastic grid which rests on air stone discs

Water level is important so as not to soak the cubes

I had to double net pot adding more stones to effectively raise the cubes higher so they wouldn't soak the developing roots, but removing the water would also work

This morning i took 2 clones and put them in as well. Note the green onion and mint clones

First Bubble Bath pic is from 1/23

  2. Day 6 Update

    Seedlings & Clones

It's crowded in the bubble bath

Notice the bleaching? The seedlings a recovering from me adding a cap-full of DM Zone. Not enough water to support even that little bit of H2O2
