FIRST GROW SETUP. CLONES IN TOMORROW AFTERNOON. ANY SUGGESTIONS THAT DOESNT DRAW TONS OF WATTS?

  1. My First GROW setup so far. Planting 18 lab tested clones on saturday... any tips or tricks for my setup to recommend?
    DETAILS:
Aeroflo 36 setup LP Aero/NFT system
    240w G8LED Veg/Flower Grow lights
90 G8LED Bloom Booster UFO LED lights for flowering
    Quantity: 2 of each light
    4 X 4 X 7 Grow Tent
HEPA Filtered inlet air connected to central CA
Reverse Osmosis filter and 30 Gal reservoir
    Exaust fan with charcoal filter
Gen Hydro Nutrients Got everything possible to increase my yield.
Digital PPM and PH test pen
PH Up and PH Down Fluid
    Infrared shielding
    Digital timers
    Temp/PH/Nutrient Controller and Monitor
Planning on Veg till clones are 2ft then start my flowering cycle. Will stager and skip a hole between each plant to give a bit of space to grow and not restrict air flow to lower leaves. Will be adding a CO2 dosing system in a couple weeks
Thinking SOG grow, but up for suggestions.

That's not much less light for 18 plants in that size of a tent. Are you planning on adding more? Charcoal filter, or do you mean carbon filter?

  3. Have you thought about using a 600 watt hps for flower? they are real efficient and cover a 4x4 pretty good. its what Im using for my 4x4x 8 closet.

More money then knowledge by the looks of it. I hope you have ran your system for a few days to get an idea about temps and humidity. If not id postpone getting the clones untill your ready.

I dont really see the venting system on it, maybe its just well hidden. What kind of inline fan are you running? A tent that size I think youll need atleast a 6 inch with around 300cfm.

Im not a LED pro by any means but ill have to agree that theres not enough light for that many plants.

One issue ive always heard about with hydro is keeping your reservoir chilled. Any plan of action for keeping it cool?

The RO systems are kind of crappy. Ive installed many in my day and most of the times people uninstall them after the filters been used up. I would suggest outsourcing your RO water, I get 5gs for 3 bucks. Dirt cheap compared to the RO system up keep.

I do agree with SOG for your grow. Should have good results.

    Thats my 2 cents.

  5. your first sentence summed it up... the rest backs it up ... chilling the water is crucial ... and I couldn't see the exhaust system either .. but they are led so it may not be a heat issue ... as long as a small 6inch boost is in that hole to vent the o2 out and allow co2 to come in it should be good... that hydro system has to cost a good 6-800 ... im thinking the whole set up with those lights is running about 2 g's ... I would never start with the clones with out 3-5 days of contant running then cleaning it  ... its gunna be a rough enough start after transporting them and shocking them with new water and giving them a lack of light especially a non  ... your gunna need a co2 bag too ... that's a lot of room and its a basement / garage so there will be no clean air ... hope it helps ... my first tent op was soil .. helped me to figure out the ins and outs of the tent game... im glad I did .. the temp fluxed A LOT between veg and flower

  6. Update... clones are taking hold...
Hers some better shots of my ventilation and my girls;)
Btw way winter here... no chiller nessesary till its starts picking up in temp. Now running co2 tank with reg and timer when Exaust fans are off

  7. This is a very nice set up man. I hope you research like crazy and realize your going to make mistakes. Its all part of the process, cant wait to see what you pull out of this.

  8. Fuck the power bill, put a 1,000 over that and you would have to flower at 2 weeks old because the space would fill too fast.

Love the Aeroflo by the way. I have to get me one.... OK 2

  9. I appreciate the input... been researching everything I can get my hands on. I know I've got to get a feel for growing it and do some trial and error before I get it down, but that's ok. I'm just wanting to go into it with as much a head start I can and learn as much as possible hands on...
I'll keep the forum updated with pics and info from the grow
