Going In For a Biopsy

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by back for more, Jan 24, 2015.

  1. After a whole battery of MRI's, CT scans, and other assorted crap they say I have several tumors affecting my lymph nodes near my upper intestines. Now I have to go in for a upper Endocron Ultra Sound or as they say, a EUS. They said they want to use the EUS to get a even closer look from inside and do a biopsy as well.

    I am afraid.

Not so much of the test, but what it might say. Especially since I am always so sick now in my stomach and have had a couple of minor internal bleeding events. They really were pretty small events but they were enough to get me to go to the doctors which is what started all of the testing. I am 54 and still have so many weed strains I haven't tried growing yet, I just can't be sick yet.

    I am afraid

  2. sorry to hear that, you should get to know the renowned 'rick simpson oil' if you havent yet. basically its a decarboxylated hash oil that has apparently cured rick simpsons cancer, as well as many others. getting into making your own extract can be expensive, but its well worth it in the long run. it might seem dangerous at first glance, and it really is if done improper, but as long as you have ventilation, and proper equipment (parts specialized for butane and like chemicals, vac purging stuff) its relatively safe. rick simpson has his own website and im sure there are plenty of threads on it here at the site, but also google skunk pharm research, and they will explain everything you need to know and a little more on the art of extraction, best of luck with your diagnosis

  3. Thank you for the information. I will find the threads.

  4. best of luck to you!  i've just relocated to a new state and have carried some health issues with me.  unfortunately this has caused me to 'come in hot' to my new doctor's office and they want to slow things way down..  most maladies can be treated with patience, but some require decisive action and i'm not getting much support.  I hope you get what you need and your results turn out well.

  5. The biopsy + EUS was started yesterday but they weren't able to get it done because apparently I went berserk while under sedation. To clear it up, I was sedated heavily but not actually put under. I don't remember anything though after someone said " I am turning on the iv" until I was waking up in the recovery room. I guess somewhere into the procedure I started pulling the tube out of my throat and then started fighting with the technicians/nurses and it took three people to pin me down. All I know is after I woke up my butt was sore like I landed on it or something. I have tried so hard to remember any of it but all I have is a hole in my memory and the stories I have been told by the doctor.

So now they have re-scheduled it right away for tomorrow and it looks like the doctor wants to add on a Colonoscopy because this time they are going to actually put me out instead of just sedation. I am not sure if it is out of revenge or because of some of the symptoms I have been having but the idea didn't come up until after the blowout.

  6. Well the results from the tests are not good . The best grasp I have of it is that I have intestinal carcinoma. What I was told is that there are a couple of tumors in my small intestines and they also found polyps in my large intestines. The worst part though I guess is they located a mass in the terminal ileum. I am not positive but I think that is where the small intestines and large intestines meet or something like that.

I have to go see a hematologist and a oncologist now. Then I am suppose to have surgery as soon as possible and they are looking at removing a section of my intestines followed by chemo. Sure seems surreal right now. I think it is time to gird the loins and ready for the fight.

Thanks for the best wishes everybody.

  7. I am curious as to how you are getting along.  There are many natural alternative treatments for cancer and the Rick Simpson Oil is one of them.  Also look for Essiac Tea, make you body more alkaline (1 tsp of baking soda in 8 ounces a day will help), and don't forget your D3 and Moringa. I am fighting the body with my husband he has bladder cancer metastasized to his bones.

  8. I'm sorry you are going through such a stressful time.  Wow, you did all that while being sedated. You must be feeling anxiety.

Well, I've been studying this stuff for about a year.  What I am understanding is you have a pretty good shot at fighting this.  Are you in a legal state?  If I wasn't, I would look folks who support cannabis as medicine in your area. Someone that makes RSO.  It's called Rick Simpson Oil but it's just another name for concentrated cannabis oil and many people make it.

Don't get all hung up on what strain it's made of or what part of the plant blah blah... just know that the entire cannabis plant has good medicinal qualities and the sooner you start on the oil, the better.  Some try to do it along side their treatment of chemo and radiation (In which case you will have to take a larger overall quantity) and some choose cannabis treatment only.  It's scary because we are used to doing what our doctor tells us to.  Ultimately, you will have to decide.  And anyone reading this that doesn't have cancer, should research this now so you can make a good informed choice if/when you do get cancer.  It's hard when you are in the thick of it, stressed and rushed to make decisions.

Please let us know what you decide and post updates here.  Your posts help others when they are new to taking the oil.  Best thing would be for this to be a minor problem so crossing fingers here.  And know that doctors might be uninformed when it comes to cannabis, be assured, they are not trying to punish you with the Colonoscopy. They are adding to the many ways they can find cancer so it might be a good thing to get checked out.  Good luck drinking all the liquid ahead of time.

Go to your natural herbalist (apothecary) and get some Bach Five Flower formula to stay calm and collected through all of this craziness. Then, when you have some time, start googling all the many cancer and cannabis stories and start researching your particular ailment to see if you can find someone who has had the same to see if cannabis worked for them.   Stay calm because stress will only make you feel more ill.

    Wish you well, friend!
