    New revelations...

    - 63% of all TV weather casters said that climate change is a result of natural variation
    - How arrogant for humans to think that they can influence climate!... Climate has always been changing.
    - Scriptures talk about climate change (therefore it's nothing new, so we shouldn't be concerned)
    - In 1849 it was cooler in 1855 it got a little warmer
    - In 1974 time magazine printed a cover with "ice age warning"
    - Scientists are cooking science

what kinds of climatology degrees to TV weather casters hold?

i don't really have a strong opinion either way on the subject.. but TV weather casters don't seem like the best source.

  3. He sounds like an ass but he us mostly correct

i don't think meteorology studies man's effect on weather patterns though.. just current weather patterns. I'd hardly consider a TV meteorologist as any sort of authority on climate change science

  5. Is the climate changing? Yeah but it always does.

Does humanity affect it? Yeah. How much is highly debatable.

Is the climate changing so much as to have apocalyptic consequences? This is where they lose me.

  6. America never disappoints.

Or... It always does? depends on your perspective.

  7.
The magnitude of disappointment is never disappointing.

  8. It's really not up for debate within the scientific community.

The only debate on anthropogenic climate change is within the media.

  9. At first I thought he was the lone dissenter.

Then I learned we elected a bunch of trolls to the Senate. :smoke:

    http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2015/01/21/3614028/so-much-senate-climate-change-trolling/

U.S. Senate on Wednesday voted 98-1 to approve a resolution stating that “it is the sense of the Senate that climate change is real and not a hoax.” Then, about 15 minutes later, the Senate rejected a second resolution that said climate change is real and caused by humans.
The first resolution was approved - and co-sponsored - by one of the most outspoken climate deniers in the Senate, Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK), a man who literally wrote a book about how climate change is the “greatest hoax ever perpetrated.” The only Senator to vote against the resolution was Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS).
Sounds too good to be true, right? That's because it is. At the last minute, right before a vote was taken, Inhofe took the floor to state that he would be co-sponsoring and approving the amendment on the grounds that yes, climate change is real, but human-caused climate change is not. “Man cannot change climate,” Inhofe said. “The hoax is that there are some people that are so arrogant to think that they are so powerful that they can change climate.”
    <div>

</div>The resolution was originally put forth by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) as an amendment to the bill to approve the Keystone XL pipeline. It was widely seen as a way to troll Republicans - a way for Democrats to say “Fine, if you want to approve the Keystone XL pipeline, you have to go on record about whether you think global warming is real.”
But Jim Inhofe out-trolled Sheldon Whitehouse. Jim Inhofe out-trolled us all.

  10. If the climate is changing, to think that government can stop it is silly.

If only we had government around 50 million years ago, we could have saved the dinosaurs!  [IMG]

  11. There is climate change and a climate disaster.. the government wouldn't be able to prevent a natural disaster. Nor can it prevent climate change.. but they, along with every other human, can raise awareness and help curb it. Man isn't changing the climate, only adding to the amount of changes.. and that's where a lot of anti climate change people get me. Cause to me, it is actually arrogant to think that we don't have an effect on the climate.. but the amount we effect it is usually blown out of proportion, just like the amount we don't effect it is often blown out (under?) proportion.

  12.
You're really saying that there's no room for debate on exactly how and how much we are affecting the climate?

    Really?

  13. It is a bit lame to think that the institution of government -- responsible for murdering 200 million or more people in the 20th century alone NOT counting its wars -- can "save" us from our immoral polluting ways (ignoring that the US military is one of the biggest polluters out there).

Government is about power over others -- which the Founders of this nation knew all too well.

Governments exist to exert power and control people via threats or violence, nothing more. "Climate change" (real or not) is just another vehicle they are using to exert more power.

  14. We are totally fucking our Planet...and if dont believe so it just means you arent old enough to remember when we could drink water out of our rivers or you are a Republican in the pocket of big business who would hairlip every swinging dick on Shem Creek for another percentage of profit....oh, left out another...some lamebrain who hates "liberrrls" and everything Fox News tells em to hate. Of course the Earth is heating up. Its a fact. Is man to blame ? Who the hell knows? Do I want to PAY a penny till they figure this out? No. But even if the Earth WASN'T warming, we are shitting in our own beds at an alarming rate and it's ruining what was for eons a beautiful Planet. We are short sighted stupid apes who cant or wont change for anything or anybody till our cage is full of shit. We deserve to be kicked off this rock by Mother Nature cause wer'e fuckin her up as fast as we can.

  15. The butterfly effect.

Of course humans have a large impact on climate.

yes but the question is how much net destruction is there?

Nature thrives off human waste. One could argue earth is better of with humans

    Obviously we have "impact"

Whats great about the eco facists is they do nothing to help there supposed cause but expect others to do it.

Do you use plastics? Do you live in a house or apartment that has been built according to LEED practices? Do you drive a electric car? Do you use water? Do you use energy which most likely comes from a fossil fuel source?

Of course you don't you would rather blather and babble on how I should live. You celebrate leaders who believe in his crap but do not ever comment on how many private jets flew in to attend the recent eco world if burning up meeting. They worship Al Gore but never dare say a thing about his jumbo jet that flys around and fleet of SUVs that he requires to get around.

No thanks to that. I'll continue to drive car that gets whatever MPG I desire, continue to live without any modification to my life whatsoever. Untill you do please put a sock in the excrement spewer. Thank god I live in Texas. You want to see a economically prosperous state mosey on over here. I have never seen anything like this state. Anywhere you go there is building happening, highways being paved. I drive a 2015 370z with a Nav system...its out of date on some of the roads because there so new.

Oh also eco issues polls around last in the minds of Americans. Its something that just about everyone except a small vocal minority cares about.

  19.
Yup, as I stated previously, The Religion of Environmentalism is about political power over others. "Save the environment!" is just the vehicle used to get there. This tactic is as old as political government itself.
