hello...this is my firs DWC grow...i had couple sucess in soli so now i will try in hydro... i will be using GHE 3part flora serie...i order micro for hard water before i got my PPM meter so i didnt now in what condition is my tapwater now its like this tap water-178 PPM rain water-40 PPM will there be any problem if i use micro for hard water in rain water i made a mix of nute,i added 1,8ml of each micro, grow, bloom in 12l of rain water that is capacity of my tank after adding that my PPM is 98 and PH 5,6 the rooted clone is old maybe 2 weeks but i transplanted it from soil so it needs time to start this is pic from yesterday when i put it in DWC bucket now its under 80w led panel, and after is 150w HPS
I just read my Micro bottle, I do not see anything on the bottle talking about hard or soft water. I think its the normal one. Is you strength still 5-0-1? You should be fine. Local Tap water fluctuates through out the day from 7.8 to 8.4 PH and between 185 to 225 ppm.. Outside of any supermarket there is a water machine that sells water for $0.25 a gallon, or $1 for 5 gallons.. The water goest through UV filter, Carbon filter, RO, and 4 other filters, 7 total.. When I brought it home and tested it it was at 6ppm and like 7.5 - 8 PH.. These waters are harder to PH. I mean they will PH like other water but will not hold it long and start to fluctuate rather quickly where as the tap would stay pretty steady with little change. I ended up doing about 75% bought and 25% tap.. This allowed for a slightly higher ppm around 90 and water that was more easier to keep maintained PH wise.. After treating your water for a few days it should stabilize itself and need minimal alterations. Check out my growlog in the sig, have daily updates and pictures.
The flora series is a great line but if for dwc I prefer using a simpler product such as supernatural because it has a ph buffer and nutrient buffer so you don't have to do much work at all Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Hard water formula has less or possibly no calcium and magnesium. So if you used that with soft water that has very little calcium and magnesium also, then you could see a deficiency in time. If your ppm is under 250 then it will likely be fine. certainly worth trying anyway
for my second grow I was thinking of trying some one part nutrients. 1bottle for grow and one formula for bloom. Need to do more research on it. I currently use the GH flora series with good results.
Ya supernatural or dakine 420 both are great one part nutrients Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
hello...here are some new pictures of roots, this is all in 2 days...i decided to go with thease nutes because a lot of people is using it so i hope it is good... not much work for now just adjusting ph once a day and thats it... if anybody have some advice fell free to share....
hi...i just put new water in my bucket,i added a litle ore nute than on the begining,i put 4ml of each MGB in 12l of water no my readings are just rain water 26 PPM water with nute 236 PPM i hope it wont be to strong
236ppm sounds about right. Check it again in 24 hours and see if the figure has gone up or down. This is how you know if you need to adjust it or not
hello...i just checked my water ph was stable on 5,8 but PPM was 246,so i take some water out and added new without nutes,so my ppm right now is 196 i will see tomorow is thare any changes...thanks
