Cooking with Shatter

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by coachbus, Jan 22, 2015.

  1. Hey All!

    I had a quick question.

I have some extra oil that I'd like to cook up for some edibles.

It's around 3-4grams of stuff. I wanted to test out .5 grams before I do the whole batch.

Any recommendations as to what temperature/time combination I should aim for?

  2. Are you thinking of making brownies?

If so here is what I recommend

First go to the grocery store and find a good brownie mix, make sure to buy the one that requires the most vegetable oil. Read the back of the box and make sure you have all ingredients to complete the recipe.

Step one: measure out oil, and place into a sauce pot (something with high sides and less surface area) Dissolve your wax in oil and slowly heat to 170F, i like to carb for about 30minutes. Once done you have medicated oil. Either use right away or store in the fridge, make sure oil comes to room temp if using later.  If you did this a day ahead and let this oil age and rest it will become more potent. Make sure to cook the brownies 300F (a lower temperature to not evaporate thc.)
