GI problems edible absorbtion

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by johnnyboyy, Jan 21, 2015.

  1. As the title says. Anyone with a serious GI problem have an extraordinary tolerance to edibles?

  2. I had some digestive issues. Would that count? If so, have you tried probiotics? They seem to have helped me immensely. I went from being able to eat as many edibles as I wanted to 2 being the limit, 3 having me so fucked I nearly freak.

  3. Could be similar, I have acute pancreatitis which from my newfound understanding limits or overallows absorbtion of essentially all nutrients/vitamins during flareups.

Haven't tried any probiotics. Food goes through my system very quick nowadays so unsure if that'll be a good idea.

  4. I have Crohn's Disease which makes digestion of anything quite difficult, especially thc. I found a method that works quite well for me. First I concentrate the herb into iso oil, then decarboxylate (sp?) It. Afterwards I dissolve it at a ratio of about 50/50 into high fat natural coconut oil, waiting until it's evenly saturated. Then I use an eyedropper to put the hash infused coconut oil into gelatin capsules (available at health food stores), and store in the fridge.

I find, with digestive issues (along with a myriad of abdominal symptoms), this method gets the cannabis to where it needs to be. The coconut oil also absorbs very easily through your intestinal wall, creating a good delivery method.

Also, in reference to the above posts, probiotics have helped my GI problems with incredible effectiveness.

    Hope this helps!

  5. I also have crohn's and even though I think my absorption is not great, it definitely helps soothe my tract better than inhalation. Not sure why that is but yeah..
