    Hello all,

Welcome to the journal!! I won't beat around the bush so let's get started.

    I will be using:
3-20gallon geopots with KISorganics soil out of Redmond Washington. To this mix I added .5cf of lava rock to each pot for added aeration as I felt the mix was a bit lacking. I also added 150 of both red wiggler and euro earthworms to EACH pot. And use a cover crop blend from BAS.

I'm following a Mixture of Bluejays No-Till system with a bit of Coots recommendations as well.

Once every 7-10 days I water in - mixture of: 1oz. ground (to a powder) 6r malted barley, 1/4tsp Agsil, 1oz. Ful-power. (Rates are per gallon) *once a month I sub TM-7 in for ful-power*

Once every 7-10 days I water in 1/2tsp coconut powder, 1/4tsp 200x aloe powder, and 1/4tsp Agsil. (Rates are per gallon)

In between these waterings I use straight water from my Dehumidifiers (reduce, reuse, recycle yo!)

I mulch with barley straw, cannabis leaves, and will be adding Stinging nettles when the season comes.

strains I will be testing this round are:(number correspond to each pot)

    1.) 1- Pineapple chunk #2

    2.) 1- Blue Magoo / 1-pineapple chunk #1

    3.) 2- white rhino (#2) 1- white rhino (#1)
(# correspond to different pheno types)

4.) Critical Plus (5 gallon pot)

  6. Woot! Plants are shining in there, bham! Nice work man. I see some perlite or something in your tray. Are you running SIP's?

I spent some time in bellingham this summer. My GF's sis just graduated from WWU. Beautiful area! Did a little paddeling around lake whatcom and actually did bring home a small bag of horsetail. LOL! I have never seen it growing here in CO, so I snatched the opportunity. I'm weird lol.

  7. thanks man! its the Aloe,Agsil, and Karanja foliars that keep em gleaming.

The perlite is in a tray so the bottom of the smarty doesnt get water logged while the root zone is still small. In my 20 gallons I layered the bottom 2 inches in lava rock, and in the small tan smarty i didnt get the chance to layer any on the bottom.

I live in sudden valley (furthest south point of Lake Whatcom) so the lake is practically my backyard! Im going to Whatcom Community College right now for my transfer degree, but WWU is an awesome school.

i would be willing to ship you some Horsetails anytime!

  8. another update.

Everytime I water in the Barley/ful-power/agsil "tea" these plants go nuts. Over night I got over 1" of growth on the bigger ladies... Incredible

  9. Malted grain teas for the winner! Plants look healthy as can be man! :D

  10. Hey!  What's shakin' BHamBudzNW?

I'm subbed up for sure.  I'm not firmiliar with Bluejay, but with Tj and Coot, you can't lose.  Not that it looks like you need any help.  Those ladied look amazing.
I'm pretty into Foliar spray as well.  I just love how it makes the leaves shine.  Never used, or even heard of Agsil or Karanja.  Agsil is potassium silicate hey?  I spray with Trive alive B1(kelp), and neem.
What are the benefits of Karanja if you wouldn't mind?  I'm gonna look it up but I like to hear specific reasons why people use different things.

Anyways, I'm really stoked to see a No-till right from the beginning.  Great Idea for a thread.  Good luck and Godspeed! :metal:  lol

  11. Thanks for the sub good sir!

Bluejay, and Coot were my main inspirations to start a No-Till but TJ and Invocation have some killer gardens too and can say that I would definitely trust any words from these guys.

As for the agsil, yes it's simply potassium silicate in powdered form. It's basically just cheaper than buying protekt and whatnot.

Karanja is almost identical in mode of action as Neem. The reason I'm using it now is that KIS organics ran out of Ahimsa neem and only had Karanja. I would have bought Neem off neem resource but they don't cut shipping costs for multiple products so it was cheaper for me to drive an hour south than it was to ship it. Also the Karanja doesn't solidify in cooler temps so it's easier to mix!

  12.
Sweet.  Thanks for the Info on Karanja!

Once I get my soil dialed in I'd like to go no-till.  This summer I'm gonna be experimenting with making a peat replacement such as leaf mould.  Actually, AW's latest soil mix is leaf mould based.

    No-till is the goal!

BTW, my thread shows Two boxes Muild out of plywood and 2x4's.  Just woking on SIP trays.  Check it out when you get a chance.

  15. My super super make shift veg room is getting out of control!!! 2 of the No-tills go into flower on Sunday, the pineapple chunk #2, and both pheno's of the white rhino.

2 weeks from Sunday I plan on throwing in the Blue Magoo, Pineapple chunk #1, and the Brian Berry Cough #4, strawberry Cough, and Conspiracy Kush no-tills.

Getting excited to hopefully get a good show going for everyone.

    Happy weekend all!

  18. LMAO that's not weird at all man :p

I'm making my transition over to no-till here soon :yay: so I think there are good things to come. Following Coot and Blue's examples has been going very well :D you took the no-till stuff straight to the dome and dove right in man!! Lots of people have a learning curve, but you hit the ground running. Did you have exp with organic soil before this grow?

  19. I've always used earth juice and straight fox farms ocean forest, did that for about 4 years. Used the Aptus boosters with that system for a few rounds and had great results. I also have a few pots that are designated to GH nutes that I've had laying around. I hate wasting shit so I just use it on a plant or two each round.

When I saw the results Bluejay and Invocation were getting from no-till pots 12-14 rounds deep I knew i had found something special. I'm going to school to get my masters in soil science, so this method just spoke to me.

I took a lot of information and methods from Bluejay's thread, but Coot gave me a few good bits of information as well. Coot suggested I use 1oz of the ful-power per gallon ever 10 days instead of the 10ml that bluejay uses for example and it's working awesome.

All in all I just dove straight in, spent a few hundred bucks but well freakin worth it son! Plants are getting better and better by the day so I'm not complaining.

Side note: make sure you fill your pots with worms, the ones that I have without worms don't seems to be growing the same.

  20. Right on man! Well you have certainly transitioned over very smoothly. Any chance we'd get a shot of the other crop you had going? A bud shot's a bud shot organic or not, right? :ey:

That's cool that you are heading to school for it too man. I am almost done with my Associates for science. Not sure exactly what I'm doing after that, but I'm thinking along the same lines. Would love to grow plants for a career :D

Have learned a ton from 'Coot. Spent a good year reading his old posts on this forum from back when he was called "lumperdawgz". First started seeing posts from bluejay and invo and the other no-till guys on another forum website for living soil. Glad they finally made it over to GC!

Mixing soil is a small investment that will pay you back 10-fold. With every round it will get better :D

Got another 4cf of soil mixed up tonight. No hulls this time. Used some homemade vermicompost that was loaded with baby worms and cocoons. I think it's gonna be awesome! :metal:

Hope you have a good weekend bham
