  1. Hey I'm in need of your help! im a musician, and my life is entirely full of disonant mathy prog stuff. Dont get me wrong, I love it, but its not at all what i want when im medicating, and certainly not the type of music for most sessions. I would love your hip hop recommendations. Im open to absolutely anything, but tend to stay in the realm of aesop rock, eyedea, jcole, chance, nas, chill shit. I just know there are tons of albums im missing out on both old and contemporary. I know one of yall has something that will hit me like a fat glob! lay it on me!

I'm listening to Isaiah right now. DEAD ASS RAPPERS...I SHOT YOU DOWN.

I love TDE right now man anything on there label is a work of art.

    Right now i'm way into:

Ab Soul - Crazy word play, super intelligent man. Good songs: Dub sac, Sapiosexual, Druggy with Hoes, God reign.

Childish Gambino - Crazy good punchlines, some very soulful music. Albums: Camp, Because the Internet.

Dizzy Wright - Super positive, good weed music, smooth delivery. Lots of good songs out of funk volume, chill music.

Run the Jewels - Not really chill music but fun to listen to why smoking a Bleezy, two dope MC's come together
    over some crazy good beats.

For chill music i'd listen to TDE (Kendrick Lamar,School boy Q)
    Rhymesayers (Brother Ali, Atmosphere)
Zion I's crew (Zion I, Grouch, Eligh)

Alright dude no rap collection is complete without Rakim, he is a legend. Listen to The 18th Letter and The Master albums. If you read this post and only listen to one thing, make it Rakim.
I see you already got Nas on there, I'd grab the Illmatic XX if you don't have it, it's his biggest songs with a bunch of remixes. Great stuff to add to a chill playlist.
Freddie Gibbs if you're into some gangsta shiz, his songs are insanely good he's very underrated.
I'll let you in on a little known fact, Shaq can fuckin flow! Download his album Shaq Diesel. It's great when someone's like "who is this?" And I tell em it's Shaq their minds are blown.
Joey Bada$$ if you like wordplay and 90's sound, his album Summer Knights and brand new one B4.Da.$$
I love me some Mos Def, his album Black On Both Sides is my favorite. You'll listen to tracks on there and recognize where a lot of newer artists got some lines.
And I'll finish my list with another classic, Scarface's album The Fix.

  6. Also I second this. Listen to Zion I's songs Coastin and Caged Bird ft. Brother Ali. Great tracks to blaze to. Grouch and Eligh have a song with Slightly Stoopid I can't remember the name but it's another A+

  7. Yo whatsgood. Telling from your Aseop &,Eyedea roots I got a feeling you would enjoy this album, and it will hit you like a fat glob? Lol

  11. im a big kid cudi fan since 09

    dizzy wrights good

i just found big krit today

  12. I stay away from record label pushed artists, or the bigger popular names of now a days HipHop labeled music. Everyone loves Kendrick and the dudes he raps with, but the feel in the music and artists dont hit me like the Old School does.

That being said, Krit actually has a dope ass song or two, but not the biggest fan.. Cudie to me was more of a phaze, for a year he was dope back in 09-10.. but faded quick. Funny cuz,the homie was bunping that man on the moon last night.

I had to stop and change it to Andre Nickatina.

Look him up, fool is so DOPE!! He got that super Northern Cali old school flow.. obviously cuz thats where hes from.

Look him up on youtube, a couple songs im about to bump myself are:

    Situation Critical
    Killa Whale
    Jungle

Get me vibing before Im out and about.
