Where should I store my weed?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by smaekl11, Jan 19, 2015.

  1. Hello all,

I know its not often that people buy by the half pound, but I am extremely concerned about being as cost effective as possible. I have saved up this month and calculated it will cost be about $1,850 to buy a half and it will last me about a year. Now where can I store all this bud so it doesn't get stale and so when I have people over they can't smell it.

  2. do u have a vagina? loool but nuhh seriously umm try investing ina gamer chair. My cousin just got on and it has the hugest empty places that you can just stuff a shitload of things in there. I guess it should just be this specific chair but idk..you can always do some research I guess.

  3. I'd say buy a couple of mason jars

  4. Mason jars, or vacuum seal bags.

  5. +1 the mason jars or vacuum sealed bags...just dont over vacuum the weed in the sealed bags I have done that before and seemed half my trichromes stuck to the inside of the bag after opening it.

I like masons because they're more practical imo, just open once a day and shake it up a bit to get some air and you're good. But depending on the amount and size of the mason jars, bags might be better...

  7. Get 6-8 big jars. And make sure you don't get ripped off.

  8. In case you can't get a hold of mason jars , something else that could be considered are pill bottles . They work well at containing the smell of herb , can fit almost anywhere , and somewhat keeps the bud fresh .

  9. Mason Jars, inside a box in the closet. Pretty much smell proof.

ALSO, turn some of that half into edibles.
A cup and a half of coconut oil, with an OZ of ground up bud, in a crock pot for 10 hours. Wala.... The best shit ever.
Eat it with anything you can think of.
And i get a whole unit for that price.... thaat sucks to see you paying so much.

  10. Hahahahahha, that had me going. A chair is probably the last thing I would of expected, even on a cannabis forum.

OP, i vacuumed sealed bud for 12 months. It smoked, got me high, but tasted bad.

I would rework your numbers for a 3 month thing instead of 12 month.

I hope to god he didn't drop 1800 on a half, even if it was the dankest of dank, I used to get dank highgrade 3500/2lbs (mind you I was only the second pair of hands the bud touched but still) I would never pay more then 2000 for a lb let alone 1800 for a half, that seems ludicrous

Also I get sick of the same strain usually within a week cuz I build a tolerance to fast, trust you won't want to smoke same strain for a year.. also when u know u have a lot more bud you tend to smoke more..esp if ur friends know bout it
    Party at my house

  12. $1800 is high for a half P, you're looking at $225/oz

Personally, I'd invest $800 and grow a pound but that's just me.

  13.   Mason jars; as mentioned before, are great options. If stealth and smell is a concern you can take a plastic basket with a lid, and make a small charcoal filter out of a can and a computer fan, hook it up to the basket and it will keep the smell out.

On second thought, you don't really need the PC fan as long as the box is air tight.

  14. Preserving jars, not sure if they are the same as mason jars, they have a rubber seal on top always kept mine good for a year
