what is a good site to order seeds from? (preferably within Canada)

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by hot4skinz420, Jan 17, 2015.

  1. Hello, I have recently become interested in trying to grow my own strains, and I do not live near a seed vendor, so I would need to order them. I am from Canada, so I will only order within Canada to eradicate customs issues. I have visited sites like "BCBUDDEPOT" and "VANCOUVERSEEDBANK", and I am just wondering if these sites are a scam or not. or if anyone knows any other sites, please let me know! ... I want to get started ASAP. thank you!  :metal:  :smoking:

  2. True North seed bank is a legit operation I'm in the US and was able to buy from them

Check out PeakSeedsBC, Hemp Depot, or Vancouver Seed Bank. I have personally used both PSBC and VSB, and couldn't be happier. Am running Jordan of the Islands strain Blue God (blueberry x god bud) and it literally smells like blueberry muffins. Check them out on VSB. They've got a shit ton of awesome strains.

Oh! And they are all within Canada, you'll get your seeds in less than 7 business days.

    CanadianOrganic knows whats up.

    What he said. :smoking:

  5. Peakseed & Vancouver are both legit. I know its really nerve racking the first few times you order but I've never heard of seeds being lost in customs coming into Canada. See a post every day from our poor USA blades :(

  6. Wait, have you lost a pack of seeds to Customs coming into Canada? I've never had a problem and I don't even use stealth shipping. Just the cheapest option they have lmfao
Waiting on my fourth order from the UK, should be here tomorrow or Tuesday

The vault has shipped to a few buddy's in Canada, if it gets seized they send more :)

    Chef.

  9. ^This good option if you do decide to order outside of the country. Also Gorilla is another great one. Both have excellent variety & good deals. If you do decide to go with either of them they both offer discount codes.

  10. I ordered from truenorthseedbank, as it had more selection then bcbuddepot, and peakseeds, and better pricing then vancouverseedbank. Altough I am still skeptical as only one person mentioned it. Hopefully it works out. If not, I will have to try the others. Thanks for the tips dudes!!  :hello:

  11. Well, goodl luck...dunno why youd listen to the one guy with 95 posts instead of the rest of us lmao

  12. Np.

Welcome to the city. Hope you stick around  :bongin:

  13.
I ordered from the site before any of you posted, but they never accepted my interac e transfer so i cancelled. just have to decide which one to go with now.

  14. Go with Peak. 10/$30 and the genetics are amazing. He's been breeding those same strains for 15 years. Or check out Jordan of the Islands on VSB. I am currently running Blue God and its amazing genetics
If you are looking for cheap, go with PSBC.
Didn't mean to sound rude in my last post ^.^

  15. Good move. Just googled some reviews for truenorthseedbank and there is a scary amount of poor reviews.

The first time I ordered was through Vancouverseedbank because I wanted to avoid customs like you. Now I'm more likely to go with one of the UK seedbanks because of the discounts, variety, and bonus freebies(Plus they have active forum reps here that can help you out with any issues). If you want to see some first hand pics from Peak D_urb has posted some beautiful bud porn using there genetics.

  16. ^ If you want cheap, quality, and local seeds I'd go with them in a heartbeat. I know it's not as much fun as going through a big seedbanks catalogue but it's a safe n affordable bet that's for sure.

  17. This will be my first time growing.... have any tips? like seed choice and what not.  Im growing indoors.

out of the 10 seeds from peak?  what the female/male ratio?

Yeah, I realize its kind of an 'aww..' moment when you see they only have 12 variations of seeds. But, he laid down the groundwork and continues to improve. That's how you run a seed bank, as your business grows and advances you want your staple strains to as well.
Much better than a company that has 50 strains but has only worked through each on for 3-4 harvests before putting to market. And not doing any other pheno hunting ans trait stabilizing.

  19. Usually 50/50. But males can be good too. Keep the best, stinkiest male and pollinate two-three branches and you'll have a years worth of seeds for thirty dollars. And Urby said that the Sweet Skunk strain is one of the most potent he's ever smoked

  20.
I am looking on peaks, at the sweet skunk, and it says height is a concern.... how tall we talking?   Im in a bachelor pad... and still have to build a grow box to fit my needs. I read northern lights is a good starter strain... has anyone tried that one off of peak?
