Hey guys, trying to get as much info as I can from this forum but I cannot figure out which LED would be good for my location. It will be for 3'x3'x5' with only one plant, most posts I read here are for bigger grows. I think $500 is maximum I wanna spend for a LED at this moment, hopefully it will be for quality product. Than guys.
Man for a lil more you can get the Mars2 1600 for $594 shipped. The only thing you have to worry about with this light is the heat it puts out it covers 4 fat plants nicely and it penetrates well thru a thick canopy which i just found by the look of my lower nugs Sent from OuterSpace using Grasscity Forum
Sarah can give you great deals on marsii. No offense but when it comes to my growing I buy in America. Check out California light works. Amazing leds only bad review I have seen is price. When it comes to leds you get what you pay for.
I dd look at CLW 220 Full Cycle, price seems good, but I wanted see if there's anything else out there that would be better buy.
Hello Tiffican, I am a fan of advanced led lights. http://advancedledlights.com/3w-led-grow-lights/new-diamond-series-leds-extreme-3w-led-technology/ I think these are in your budget. I would not go less than 200 watts for one plant 300 if you can.
I just picked up some Diamond 1200watt led lights from eBay for an average of $350. They use 6watt diodes where Mars uses 5watt diodes. Better price than Mars also.
Can't do better than Amare Technologies Solar Spec150 @ $395, discount on 2-3 and 4 Buy one to veg, then add second in ~ 4-5 weeks for a killer set up
CLW 220 works great in a 3x3, I have the older 200W version and I love it. Advanced LED, although a bit more pricey, are excellent lights. Best bang for the Buck will be the MarsII, you can get a 900W or 1200W easilly for that price, but some complain on quality or heat they put out, but I've seen a lot of great reviews on them. Personnally I would go with the MarsII for 500$ you will get much more light output than CLW or Advanced LED will get you at the same price. The XML150 from Advnaced LED could also be a good choice, but comparing to a MarsII 900W or 1200W I'm not sure if you'd get as much light.... If you had a 1200$ budget on the light I would definately recommend you go with Advanced LED.
For that money, Id look into the sun system lec 315 CMH. Suppose to be the bees kness for plant lighting spectrum. Would work perfect for your space. Do your research if you don't know.
I too would suggest Advanced LED as they so far are the best LED's I have used out of 3 brands. They are more costly than other brands, but also have premium Cree and OSRAM diodes which will last you longer and give you more light per watt.
I've looked up the SolarFlares / Storms recently, and they made the switch from 5W diodes (200W, 400W, 800W) to new 3W Osram SSL diodes (220W 440W and 880W). I wonder what pushed them to go from 5W to 3W chips? jealous of the Advanced LEDs maybe? hahaha A bit sad they they went from 5w to 3w, but theres probably a good reason behind that...
