Whats the FIRST signs of a plant turning hermie?

  1. I'm just curious as to what they are because I wanna check my plants over in a few days. My fucking street had a power cut and plants went down to freezing feeder went hay wire so just wanna be on the look out just in case

  2. Sadly I've never seen a pre-sign to a plant going "hermie" on me. I've only ever noticed the nanners shooting out first. Each time was from a light leak too, damn window shaker A/C unit was shooting light through it. I had to tear it apart and completely gorilla tape every inch of the inside. Worked like a charm after that.

  3. Hmm mm yes I have had that problem before on my dehumidifier it had a red light on the switch and i think that had turned them but I didn't notice till it was way to late that's my own fault for not keeping an eye out. I no what I do to prevent it from happening now just need to no what the plant starts to do at the first signs coz if just one starts go in then it be coming out haha think I left it way to late one pollenated the whole crop I new it was stressed it should of been taken out sooner.

  4. hey man i know this is off topic, (sorry op :-/ ) but you were talking about your window ac. Wicked bad vibrations right? There's this foam that you can put completely around the ac at all the contact points where it meets the window that reduces the vibrations to nothing and it also helps insulate keeping the hot air out and the cold air in. The foam I found is at lowes and comes in a plastic bag and it's just this long piece of 2"x2" foam and costs about 10 bucks. There are thinner ones too for the top where your window shuts over the ac. You might need to buy two if you have a large ac unit. Just measure before you go and you'll be set. Sorry again op.

To the op, look very carefully for the sacs because my last grow had at least one hermie and I never saw the open pollen sacks even after harvest. I have no clue wtf happened but all my plants had a small number of seeds in them.

  5. No it wasn't from the vibrations or any gaps. I panda filmed all the gaps to the window. The light came from the actual mouth of the unit where the blower motor was. It was a bitch to light proof the inside of the unit. Now I have a 3 ton mini split unit. Worth every single penny.
