New to outdoors few ?s

  1. As for planting times (Im just north-east of you a little above Sacramento) Late March anywhere to May is perfect for seeds, and May-June for planting clones or plants that were already vegged indoors. If you start earlier than this, you risk plants flowering early and staring to reveg which will ruin your yields and make your plants vulnerable to pests and mold.

  2. So much great information , mj. I have been thinking a lot, and more than likely will vegetate indoors till may. Mostly because you also live by me and may is the time when the long sunny days start to come in which makes sense to wait for. Really appreciate all the help.

  3. Sounds good to me. Good luck. I'm sure I'll see you around the outdoor forums for years to come. It's an addiction all it's own.

  4. I am more than willing to help the right people.. that being said there are certain responsibilities that we should be mindful of.. Respect to our planet first and foremost.. Chemical fertilizers and trash and rodenticides and pesticides littered all over the place is exactly how we shouldn't carry ourselves.. Respect to out neighbors, respect to our families and respect to our community is what we need to be mindful of.. RADIATE good vibes and surely your plants will be happier!

If your growing outside your going to need an IPM ( integrated pest management ) routine.. This one is mine..
BT bacillus thuringiensis.. Caterpillar control..  Sold under several names any one of them will do..

BT-I as mosquito dunks and bits for Fungal Gnats... http://www.pondbiz.c...ges/Sum1156.jpg

To avoid the sprayer contamination issue I had last year I simply bought 4 sprayers
    http://www.lowes.com...ayers=

Most all of this can be found at Home Depot or Lowes except the Green Cure.. Hydro shop for that..
Buy a new sprayer and rinse really well between solutions or buy multiple sprayers like I did..
I do my treatments like any good farmer.. up well before dawn
    Spray BT on Monday..
    Green Cure on Tuesday
Neem on Wednesday.. Only in veg
Spinosad Thursday if I find signs of needing it..

As both mamma and zombie have explained your timing to get inside plants synced and put outside in order not to preflower and make a mess of your plants is not as easy as it looks.. They both offer great advice based on years of experience in your immediate area..

  11. This is definitely some great information :D I've got two quick questions. I've been noticing a bit of powdery mildew and plan to buy the green cure. Thing is I'm 9 days into flower, about how much longer am I safe to spray this stuff? Actually the same question applies to the captain jacks for caterpillars. Really appreciate your input on this, I've been stressing on the mildew..

  12. Hello everybody, i know it is controversial for a manufacturer to appear on a forum that for many could be controversial, and even illegal in many countries, but i personally believe in what you guy are doing, and have adviced medical use of cannabis oil to friends with cancer and leukemia, so please do not disgregard this as s simple sales pitch! i just wanted to let you know that we manufacture the highest quality european hortomallas trellis netting. We can provide the lowest prices on the market guaranteed, We do not service small orders as we specialize in large scale horticulture farming, but since we specialize in agriculture we can "talk plants" as we have a team of phytobiologists and agronomists working at HORTOMALLAS, so you are welcome to submit any doubts or comments and we will try to answer to the best of our knowledge!

    Cheers from Mexico!
