You should never have temps as high as 85 even during lights on unless you have no choice or your running co2. A 10-15 degree temp drop from daytime is ok, anything more than that should be avoided. If you can keep your temps at 75 the whole time that would be ideal
I ALWAYS keep my temp at lights out at 18c no lower the plants work hard in the lights out period working off all that energy absorbed in the lights period. And do do there job well they still like to be slightly warm not cold. It's like us I wouldn't like to work in the cold and of we did we would do it slower. That's how I see it anyway hahaha.
And if u use a product called aptus regulator at lights on you can keep your plants in up to 40c and they still love it and thrive it's what I use on all my grows it's a good stress re leaver also. It makes your plant plastic like solid.
