Advanced Sensi nutrients in DWC

Discussion in 'Hydroponic Growing' started by mrvegas, Jan 7, 2015.

  1. Some of you might of seen my previous thread in the beginners thread. Here's the situation. I have one critical feminized and one northern lights auto and they are currently in flowering. During veg I didn't have any issues but once flowering began issues seemed to pop up. First off I have heard that the perfect pH for dwc is between 5.5 and 5.8. Once I mix everything up the pH comes out to be 6.7-6.8. I have tried using pH down to lower it but it doesn't work. I've also attempted adding other nutrients made by advanced to see if they would affect it and they dont. The critical seems to be doing better than the auto northern but neither of them seem to be exactly where they need to be. This is my first grow and I would like to finish these plants with these nutrients so I'm hoping someone here grows in dwc using advanced nutrients and can hopefully guide me in the right direction. Thanks! Screenshot_2015-01-05-09-38-01.png

  5. PH down will work you just have to use a lot and mix the shit out of it.

  6. That's strange man, I use AN sensi and I have yet to see my res change from 5.9 even after 7 days. I have yet to try dwc with their line but I am just starting one up, looks like pH is locking something out for sure, maybe try the sick plants side!

  7. Yah it's quite frustrating. During veg everything was going very smooth. We had no issues and where giving it the recommended doses and we never checked the pH or ppm because the whole "pH perfect" thing. But once we ran into these new issues in flowering I have posted pictures and so far have gotten the answers of 1. Magnesium toxicity 2. The pH should be 5.5-5.8. So I'm not sure if we should just cut the doses in half on this next nute change or go with the regular full dose of 4ml/liter yet try and create a lower pH.

  8. With AN, start off with .25 of full dosage, then add more.

  9. I shouldn't have even posted Nothing because now I'm having the exact same issues after everything was going smooth for me as well

I think my issue was too much calmag and it locked out some nutes. Flushing for a week with a bit higher pH should help but I'm a newb and don't know too much yet haha

  10. I feel ya man. I flushed for about a week with tap water and just put back on a half dose of bloom. It's budding....leaves are frosty...but some leaves still look like shit...oh well!

  11. Did you try calling advanced themselves? I think they have a hotline to call if you have issues, I'm going to give em a call with some pics going there way tomorrow.

Literally got the same issues as you. When did your problem start? 2 weeks into flower?

  12. I emailed them twice with no response and yes...veg was good then 2 weeks into flowering is when it went down hill...2 different strains...same issue really.

    Does anyone know???

if i had half a bottle of (AN) b-52 and a half bottle of superthrive could i
mix them into 1 bottle and same for other supplements that do the same job?

  14. I called their customer support line, it appears related to calmag, either locking out other nutes or simply just not enough

They told me to flush for a few days then go ½ strength and work my way back up. I'd give em a call on their 1800 number, very helpful service.

  15. Why would you mix a bunch of supplements that do the same thing? Why not just mix your nutes and add one until the container is empty? I think by mixing formulas together that aren't even made by the same brand is going to cause some major issues somewhere down the line, most likely pH and lockout related

  16. was just wondering. auto pink diesel x amnesia dwc 5 gal with mixed nutes 4 days till chop
