Ohios marijuana monopoly

Discussion in 'Marijuana News' started by lake irie smoker, Jan 5, 2015.

  1. Anyone hear about this? I used to live in Ohio but moved to a medical state so I could legally grow my own. If you have heard of Ohio's possible proposal to allow only ten wealthy landowners the sole rights to cultivate and sell in the state of Ohio. Tell me what you think?

  2. I have not heard anything about Ohio planning to do that, but i would not be surprised considering how similar it is to what New York's policy. Although NY is technically a medical state, NY only allows 2 pharmaceutical companies to grow and sell. I think its crazy to only allow specific people to cultivate, let alone 10 wealthy landowners.

  3. It can be up to the voters to decide, it's just up to the voters to ACT!

  4. This Hillbilly will vote no for it if they get it to the ballot. I heard they will be paying $10.00 a signature for people who want to collect them. There is no doubt that they can buy the 350,000 signatures needed. I don't think it will pass if people can't grow their own.

All Ohio citizens should support "Responsible Ohioans for Cannabis" - http://responsibleohioans.org/ - The non-monoloply political action committee.
\n\nThe 10 monopoly assholes are calling themselves "Responsible Ohio" trying to tie their name to the better group.

  6.
I read your first paragraph and was worried for a second that I was spreading misinformation.

    Very deceptive indeed.

  7. Ohio also has o.t.e.p and o.r.g
Oteps proposal would be similar to laws in Colorado and org would be more like michigan.

  8. As each state legalizes there will be more and more plays from the cash grabbers.....you can count on that.

  9. New development! Responsible Ohio (the monopoly group) has added the ability to grow at home and lowered taxes in their new proposal. Thoughts?

  12. Definitely still gotta get rid of responsible Ohio. Lol. Idc if they allow home grows to be 12 plants. If you need a license to grow 4 plants for personal use and still NO ONE can sell to anyone and all cannabis sold at dispensaries would still have to only come from the ten specific grow sites owned by the people making the law. I'm all for ROC but I think org and otep have better chances. Even if that means I gotta wait till 2016 to move back to Ohio. Haha

  13. Just take michigans model. Fuck that 10 ppl run the ohio marijuana trade bullshit. But I'm right over the state line with some goods. Haha

  14. Ohio has some pretty powerful drug dealers. Its why its been so hard for it to become legal or even have medical here. The drug dealers don't want it legal and neither do the police because they work together with them.

  15. My family lives in Ohio, which means i live there 3 months out of the year. It honestly blows there in terms of bud, and just about everything else...

  16. Its about who you know. There's great weed here and fun things to do. Seeing as you only stay for three months and don't seem to know many people and much about the state you don't know what you're talking about.
