I made me a simple grow room and I was wondering if I can use this for my first harvest. I will upgrade later once I get more money. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Looks good to me. Where are your air intake, exhaust and carbon filter? Can't see them on the picture.
The air intake is in the top. I did some improvements. I no white is more reflectant and I didn't know what else to put so I added paper for know. Also I added 2 strip lights. Should I add more lights? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum And yes it is tin foil lol. I didn't have anything so it was the only choice. I added a little bit of paper to help out. I'm making another box soon painted white Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
And I don't have a carbon filter. Jus using things like ona gel in the inside. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
The air intake is on top? You want to replace that to the bottom, and make the exhaust on the top. Hot/warm air wants to go up, so keep the intake low and the exhaust high. Don't use ONA inside your growspace: http://www.growweedeasy.com/ona-gel-cannabis
L-O-L when I first looked at the pic I thought it was something you could walk into upright, pictured somebody standing in there. I'm just a little high right now. To be perfectly honest with you I've been growing for 5 years and have a shitload of equipment but I'm not above throwing a couple of bulbs and a fan into a cardboard box for a temporary mother/clone area. But I would ditch the foil, use more bulbs and get them closer. Use the scrap foil to wrap your container so it doesn't let in light and fuck up your roots. Here's one of my temp boxes, white spray paint on the inside.
Go bigger, Its not worth the time... not even for a mother plant, or clone station. You need you lights above the plants, and your space should have fresh air, wind, lots of space, and lots of light. You should get like $100.00 together and skip the box think outside the box...
As others have already said, you have the idea, but bigger space is recommended, more light is definitely needed, and exhaust through the top with your intake on the bottom. Oh, and never use a clear container as a pot. If you can find an old wardrobe, that could be a good start to making a proper grow box.
the shiny side of painters drop cloth makes a good reflective material on a budget. Few bucks at OddLot I used them to wrap my grow racks, then wrapped again in 4mil black plastic. Under $20 total I think. my racks are repurposed from holding junk in the basement! View attachment 6847
