One seed planted, two plants rose from the soil

  1. Hey everyone :)  I wasn't even going to do a journal but people have told me I have something special, and I want to share it's life with you :)

Strain: Auto White LSD (I think)
Medium: Canna Terra Pro +extra perlite and vermiculite
    Light: Mars2 1200w
    Tent: Mylar 4x4x6
Nutes: Canna + Cal Mag + oxidizer (as water temps here are 25-30 degrees celcius out of the tap)

I have talked to a few pro's and they have heard of this happening, but never seen it.  Apparently sometimes, in nature, two endosperm are present in the seed.  So when it germinated, two stems appeared.  One is a lot smaller than the other, but it's still growing and looks very happy.

I hope you enjoy my little story :)

    And today :)

I have settled on a name also... Two Girls, One Cup

The auto tent. As you can see, there is starting to be a pretty big size difference between the single endosperm seeded plants and the double...

Being fed fresh 6.2 water with 1ml/10L of 50% hydrogen peroxide due to the hot weather and water not holding oxygen like it does in colder temps. They are in week one in their 4gals now

  5. So I wake up today and check my girls... And two girls, one cup.

The little midget plant has sprouted a few new leaves!! It's growing, just a little slower than its twin. The stem has changed from a light root-white colour to green and a little splash of purple.

I honestly don't expect too much from this plant as both plants in this pot are quite small compared to their friends in the tent... But we will see how the grow goes...

For now, the conjoined twins are very healthy :)

  6. Immaculate conception.  Jesus has returned in the shape of a cannabis plant.

Apt, don't you think? :p  Hahaha

    Definitely following this.  That's cool.

  7. Thanks guys :) hoping the little one can survive. The stem is not that thick and not sure if it's growing in girth with the plant, but she puts up leaves when she can support herself and I will have another update in the next few days :)

So today I noticed that the little one was hidden under a big fan leaf so I made a little reflector out of some cardboard and wooden skewers... Hoping to push a little more light to the tiny plant for better growth.

This trick worked really well in a larger width tent and one light too... It's not major light control, but has its perks :)

Not the best photo composition... But you can see with the reflector, the little one is doing A LOT better! Sprouting new leaves every second day now..

  10. Ive heard of it also, and usually one plant becomes dominant like it looks in your case. But you never know. Are u planning on keeping both until harvest?

  11. I see no reason to kill one... If it's how nature intended, it can grow under my man made LED haha

  12. What about a little lst to get more light on the lil girl

  13. It's an auto, so not much I can do in that area unfortunately.

  14. So I did some research. Apparently you can LST autos. So I did just that.. My first LST experiment and attempt. So let's see if I don't kill the plant haha.

She is certainly growing, but the stem is so thin that it's not getting a lot of nutes... But it is sprouting some new leaves and looking forward to seeing how the LST goes :)

  16. Right on. I know it effects yeild but this seems like a novelty thing. I wonder how common this is

  17. Yeah the main plant is small anyway, And the mini dwarf is is about half s thumb size. So I'm practicing my LST and giving the little one some much needed light

The LST progress. It's not the cleanest tie down, but this plant has no space between nodes due to it being a twin in guessing - all the other plants, including the exact same strain are about 2-3x larger already and solidly into flower...

See how this goes, I guess.
