So im planning on building my first terrarium and was wondering what kind of light would be good to use. Im planning on doing a tropical themed terrarium, and from the small amount of research ive done so far, it seems they need a decent amount of light. I don't have one in mind yet, but im probably going to buy a used 30 gal. aquarium with a light. Would the light that was used with the aquarium be enough for the plants?
I do terrariums in old fish tanks and use my old aquarium lights (bulbs and fixtures) most have worked more or less.I grow bromeliads..nepenthes pitcher plants..some dwarf orchids..many small aroids and some really cool dwarf ferns.Try going to blackjungle.com a realkly neat place to start...KEEP GROWING
