LUNG PAIN AFTER SMOKING WEED

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Brooke166, Dec 23, 2014.

  1. Background: I recently just turned 16, I've smoked quite a lot, at first it was a once and a while thing, I would only smoke with friends like once a week or less, sometimes once every few weeks. But in the last 2 months I've purchsed my own canabis, (being a "cute" girl boys would smoke me out regularly haha) anyway ever since purchasing I've been smoking every week , usually every day in the evening. I would come home from school and do HW and smoke some to have an appetite and sleep well. I have a very low tolerance, and I can only handle a few small hits. Ive have this thing happen to me when I take too big of a hit my lungs constrict and I gasp for breath and its quite terrible and i can't talk for a few minutes or catch my breath. Just last night I was smoking by myself and I started getting sharp pain in my left lung. It's so unpleasant but I can deal with it and breathe fine. I just worked out for an hour and I had no issues. I was scared I was going to have worse pain then I'm already experiencing. But it got quite better. I really want some reassurance I love being high. Though I plan to cut back and smoke less. I don't want the plant to affect me negitively. It honestly makes me so sad the thought of having to give it up. Please someone help. Thank you.

Also Ive only ever smoked weed, and pretty good stuff at that. I've been smoking out of my bowl but like I said I've never had this issue before.

Another thing I know for a fact this isn't anxiety. I've experenced that and I know the difference.

  2. Toking too much is going to make you cough, which can make the lungs irritated.

If you can, get a vaporizer. That should solve your problems for long term use. If you choose to smoke, just keep it at small tokes.

if you take too big a hit, it's going to make you cough, especially if it has sativa properties, which act as bronchodilators and can make your lungs seem extra raw from being so open, and then coughing so harshly. If you find yourself coughing, get some water, lift your arms high to open the lungs and regain control over your diaphragm and such and try to simmer it down as best you can til then.

    Good luck!
