I got a grow tent a couple months ago to grow tomatoes and super hot peppers. I found a seed in an ounce of dank that I got and planted it. Vegged for about 6 weeks and now switched over to flower. I see a lot of white hairs and figured since I got a female I should take some pictures. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]Srry about the pic quality I am getting a new phone for Xmas and will update on thursday or friday. My shitty phone cam can't pick up the hairs with its focus but it's def female!!! I am using lucas ration 2 parts of bloom to 1 part of micro, the amounts don't matter as long as it's 2:1 ratio right now I am at 6 ml micro and 12 ml of bloom for every gallon. This does cause Mg deficiency with tap water and was easily fixed by mixing 1 tsp of epsom salt but I hear soil growers can modify the lucas ratio so that it is 6ml of micro to just 9 ml of bloom, I haven't tried it because the epsom salt fixed it. No other deficiencies have been observed. After switching to flower the new growth was almost yellow in color like an iron deficiency but the pH is righht on point, I think the genetics of the plant just turn lighter green after flowering after a couple days the leaf expands an is normal dark color..

  2. Oh I also only pinched it once but have 3 tops and the 4th top isn't stretching has high as the other 3 main colas

also have been taking off the lower branches and some sucker between the axilarry nodes.

  3. Im a newbie :D

  4. Looking nice and healthy. Not sure I caught the strain.

Whether you're for marijuana or against it. No one should ever have to go to jail for it.

  5. Random bag seed

  6. This pic was at day 9 of flower. At day 12 (yesterday_ I noticed very tiny balls that resemebled very tiny seeds on some of the lower nodes in sets of 3-4. I pulled them off and hope I do not encounter anymore. Someone turned a light on in my closet one day when I was at work and some light may have gotten in the tent when they were sleeping. :([IMG]

  7. Can't wait for my iPhone to get here so I can take HD pix!!!

  8. That's a beautiful garden you've got there. Love the diversity of plants, they look happy and healthy.

  9. Thanks :), Unfortunately my tomato is a little too happy :p :p I pinched him in 4 spots and now hes a big heavy bush taking over the garden and even leaning over. Too late to stake him but I just pushed him up against the canvas so my girl can get the best lumen and air flow. Can't wait to try the delicious sweet cherry tomatoes, I have about 6 fruits on it right now. The Carolina Reaper (hottest pepper in the world, way hotter than Ghost Pepper) is growing quite slow but does have a ton of flower buds and was started 3 weeks after the mater. Everything gets fed the same thing. [IMG]

  11. imma put her in normal light and take pics tonight after feeding :D

  12. Hey that's great.

Wish me luck in learning how to cure in time for the growing season.  I thew out a couple of nugs of Pure Kush I failed to cure.  I have one last chance with some out of season Purple CrownX Columbian Purple Haze plants and this time I'll have Boveda 2 way humidity control 62% and a Caliber IV hygrometer to make sure I don't over dry again.

I am very disappointed in how much bud that at one point sparkled like a gem can end up looking so crappy.

Well I am growing Pure Kush for the season and some CBD Crew stuff for my liver and uncle's parkinson's.

  13. What did you do wrong while drying??

  14. I am interested in what you did wrong. I would like to get everything i need to cure and dry soon. I was just gonna get a drying rack and dry it in darkness for a week in my tent and then put it in a jar with 62% humidity packs for 3 weeks and then try it. I really want to have the best experience possible for a first time grower so any suggestions would help

  15.
Well I can tell you this much:  without those Bovedas you'd probably end up like me and over dry it.

I'm not sure exactly what the trick is to blind curing but forget it I say!  Just don't even bother and buy yourself some Bovedas and a hygrometer and get into that 60-65% relative humidity range.

And the way it happened to me overdrying was weird I basically just would dry the bud out every time it got wet but I guess it went too far the last time as honestly the homegrown I was trying to process was drier than some of this really cool Blue Cheese I got today.

  16. What size CVault should I get?

  17. You still dry without bovedas. I use them because I grow more then I personally consume and I can't be just handing out a ton of freebies at once or people would wonder, they're for storage and curing. Your still going to have to hang them up and slow try. Boveda will not help you with that. Read the sticky about drying and curing. Most people don't use boveda and have been doing it correctly for a long time. Boveda isn't a guarantee, you still have to know what your doing. People cure without bovedas for months all the time, I used too, just got lazy and boveda is perfect for lazy people. Its about controlling your environment.

Thanks killset!! I was literally 2 minutes away from ordering a drying rack and the Boveda jars. After doing a bunch of research I am not sold on Boveda, alot of reviews on Amazon and youtube saying only use these to rejuvinate over dried bud or if you have a bunch that has already been cured and you want to properly store it. They also mention the metallic interface of the jars leaving a bad taste.

A grow buddy of mine who runs a very very professional operation in Oregon also told me to skip the drying rack as he has run multiple different drying and curing styles and he has found the best for him is to hang the entire plant upside down for 3-5 days or atleast hang main branches seperate, trim it up and then put it in jars. he said when he uses drying racks the buds tend to dry way too fast.

Luckily for me I can hang it right in my grow tent so I can keep my exhaust and air circulation fans going and try to control the environment. The tent will stay room temp (70-75) and obviously be dark
