I am going out to buy a glass bong, i've never owned one but i am an experienced toker. I live with my parents that don't care that i smoke, and thus hiding it is no issue at all , however they don't want the house or my room smelling like weed whenever they walk in, so i was wondering if i bought myself a glass bong will it be ok if i keep it in the garage, the biggest issue here is that it is winter here in canada with temperatures dropping to -20 celsius/ -4 fahrenheit which is making me so skeptical of keeping it there. so my main questions are: - will it be ok in the garage over the winter? - Is their anything i can wrap it in or cover it with (i.e Blankets, special spray, i don't know?) - If no, any recommendations from others stuck with similar situations? anything would be appreciated and considered helpful thank you! Aswell please have mercy on me this is my first post here and i highly unsure how to go about constructing it.
Hey, my parents are the same - don't care but just don't want to see it or smell it. I first started to smoke on my balcony but obviously not its way to cold for that shit in Toronto. Thus I improvised. Go on YouTube and watch some videos about how to hide the smoke smell. Get an empty waterbottle. Cut the end off and wrap the end with bouncy/ laundry sheets and blow through that every time you exhale. Your room will be smelling like fresh laundry all the time! Your bong should be fine as long as you don't let the water freeze I've heard many scary stories involving frozen bong water and broken glass
I also live in Canada and I leave my 5mm boro tube in the garage for days on end, never had an issue. However the water freezing can be an issue.
As long as you clean it somewhat regularly and store your but in airtight jars your room wont stink. I have 10 pieces, and 50+ grams hidden around and can't smell any of it. Mason jars are the shit.
as long as there is no water when you leave it, it should be fine. Just wait a minute for it to thaw before you put water in it.
I've left many of my pieces out in the garage, sometimes days on end (I too live in Canada). As long as you don't leave water in it, you should be alright. If you can put an ikea glass in your freezer to get chilled, your bong should be fine (considering that the glass your bong is made of should be higher quality). As others have previously mentioned, rinse it out after every use, and clean it with grunge off (or whatever you prefer) at least once a week.
